I have no idea either, yet.
Barnes has always overcomplicated these discussions when given the chance. He's not thick, he's just not as smart as he thinks he is so he over reaches and ends up nowhere.

The idea that anyone would object to black voices on racism is absurd.

Funnily enough I think a portion of those objecting to criticism of Qatar on the basis of LGBT+ rights would also object to black people talking about racism.

It crossed my mind but as @RacingClub said they would be immediately recognised as troglodytes. It would be hard to shut that down with a call for a deference to cultural norms.

Wenger isn’t entirely wrong unfortunately.

“while other players viewed it critically as a distraction”

Absolute bollocks. They got knocked out because they weren’t good enough.

They were good most of the game against Japan and still lost.. Not saying there is a correlation but if the stories about it being a non consensual issue you are true can’t totally exclude it influencing the team in that game…

This being said, Chapeau to the players (especially Neuer and Goretska) for at least making some sort of a stand.

Didn’t Spain lose against Japan too?

Japan played much better there though. Loosing to that Japan makes more sense than loosing to the one we saw in the first 60 minutes against Germany.
Germany had plenty of chances to beat Japan, as did Spain. Neither did. They weren’t good enough on the day and were punished. To relate that to this stuff is nonsense and is also a discredit to Japan.

Yes, he'd say that, wouldn't he?

Probably been given instructions by his boss, the former ginger turned bald migrant worker.

Old cnut, feck him and his rotten organization.

Nonchalantly scoring the winner...

This.

Anyone who gives any credence to the utter nonsense he’s spouting here is a complete feckwit and / or closet homophobe.

Then again, Wenger wants a WC every 2 years and is a fifa shill, so what do you expect.

Be really interesting to see if the teams who go further in the tournament have anything to say when it’s done and they can’t be strong armed with bookings etc…
