Football didn't begin in 1992. ;)

Liverpool beat Palace 9-0 in 1989/90 season, famously of course then got knocked out by Palace in the FA Cup semi final classic later in the season.

I was resigned to the record falling when Liverpool started the second half like they finished the first. There seems to be a mental barrier to getting a tenth.

I was living in Ipswich at the time. Dad told me the result while we were in the town centre and told me to keep it quiet. Went to the Ipswich home game earlier in the season which we lost 3-2 so that was nice revenge.

There's only one United!
United did this twice but the media are blowing up their darlings as if they made something which was never done before.
Did they win another 12 PL's to equal United too?

There have been loads of high scoring games or big defeats since 2019/20. The way teams play now leaves gaping holes in a defence if the right teams play one another.

The audacity of Leicester to do that to Southampton at their home ground.

Which team will be the first to score double figures?

I completely forgot about our second 9-0, against Southampton. Less than 18 months ago, too.

Eh? You do know Liverpool have won 9-0 twice as sharpshooter above has mentioned. It's Sky and Utd who invented a ridiculous 1992 start period which means kids nowadays are dumbed down and oblivious.

Who's the media darlings?

A dumbo question deserves a dumbo answer:

Ask Steve Cotterill who the darling team is.
