A sneaky loan offer for Arda Güler with option to buy? He’s being wasted at Real

If they get him they better put his first name on the shirt. Will draw some of the heat away from Vinicius when they play away.

Will probably be a bestseller with that lot. Blanco Franco.

We definitely need more 10s!
Well, better than some of our options. Better at 10 than Zirkzee and Mount. If we get rid of Garnacho, Sancho, Antony, Rashford…… (we haven’t signed Mbuemo yet) we don’t have THAT much cover at 10. One injury to Cunha and we end up with last years donkeys again. And a loan is a free swing essentially. If he works out, then happy days.

I'm all for it on loan. Brilliant player and only seems to be slipping down the pecking order in Madrid. Imagine having those 3 new signings to choose from behind a Gyokeres or Mateta. What a difference.

Well journalists said that he holded a long conversation with Xabi Alonso. Xabi told him that he wants him now to join the team, right after the Clubs WC. River Plate preferred for him to stay until december, as they're getting into the Copa Libertadores playoffs series.

On the other hand, he could make his debut today for the national team, and as a starter aswell. Would love to watch him and Kevin Lomonaco with minutes.

Madrid and a state fighting over you…
Qatar can easily blow Madrid out of the water financially. It's a question of Madrid not getting cheap with River Plate and where the player wants to go. The Spanish giants are the dream for almost any Spanish speaking player.

Not just money with PSG now. They are young enough to be a potential dynasty team and it will be a massive part of their sell that a skilled midfielder gets to come in and work alongside dreams like Vitinha and Neves. The money aspect is also there, but they can genuinely entice players on merit after their Champions League run and state they are currently the best team on the planet.

Madrid is Madrid.

Just goes to show how highly rated this kid is. Not every day you will see a talent being fought over by the current best and Madrid.

Not surprised, a South American will go to Real or Barca almost always if one of them is interested. PSG had a good chance but the pull of Real is too big

The allure of having the entire Bernabeu chanting "Franco" is simply too great for some people.

Time to revive the Nypan links? Presume the move to Villa is gone by the wayside with their PSR issues.

Huge signing. It's been a while since Madrid had a top argentine player . I assume his signing means Rodrygo will be sold.

Big talent but how ready is he, I think he's the sort of talent who should be going to a Dortmund or so, I know they didn't get involve probably because of the fee but Madrid requires you to be ready. See Guler and the young Brazilian forward as examples.

Was going to say poor move but Madrid have a great record of turning teenagers into stars.

Will be interesting to see how much playtime he and Echeverri at City get next season. They finally gave him his debut off the bench against Palace in the cup final.

From what I read, there was interest a while ago, but then he renewed his contract and raised the release clause, so Madrid stopped the talks.Something like “We’ll come back when you are truly worth your clause.” However, I assume PSG interest changed everything.

I hope Xabi will use actively both the young players and the academy, right from the start.

I'm hoping the reason things have gone quiet is because he's a United fan and is holding out for a late offer - depending on how much money we have left over once our key signings into the starting 11 are complete.

He should have stay in River to the very least one more year.
If PSG was fighting for him because Lucho wanted him, that was a missed opportunitty. That PSG team is young, Lucho would improve him and helped him while not letting his ego go out of control.

With Real it's always the same, they buy in quantity, even when kids and then they see what happens, far from the best scenario.
The main thing that might work on favor of him developing well it's if Xabi personally asked for him to be part of his project (this would help A LOT), if not, too many things can go wrong for him, worse with the type of marketing they'll certainly force on him.

Damn, PSG has been courting him for so long and Real just comes in and hijack the deal. Not really surprising since it's Real but I feel like he'd have a better chance at playing in Paris, they dont have a lot of midfield depth and Ruiz, as excellent as he has been this season, can be upgraded on. Still he will be one to keep an eye on.

For me the real last Argie player that was big in Real was Di Maria (yet the way he left kind of fvcked a tad his legacy there) and under him Higuain did very good (memes aside).
Yet the Real Last Huge figure there was The Prince Redondo, too bad he was there prior to the Galactico Period or more recent times, if not his name would be quite a lot bigger and more than probably with more titles, even if of course he still is a Legend.

He is absolutely tailor made for the right 10 if Xabi is playing his 3-4-2-1. Probably won’t be starting straight away but would not surprise me if he does by mid-season.

Gago traumatized all of us. We couldn't sign more argentines hehe.
In fact, before the trip to Buenos Aires, it was said that Calafat saw Mastantuono as a new Di María.
The question is what they saw in him to sign him, and not any other Argentine/brazilian talent.
River is a club very close to Madrid. I read today that is “The Second Coming"
As for Redondo, I’ve run out of adjectives.
