Franco Mastantuono

I think this boy has some special talent and we should get him if we decide to sell Garnacho. Also suits the R10 role.

Vinicius and Rodrygo were absolute certs barring injury. As good as Mastantuono looks, I've read from people that watch him regularly that there are a lot of fundamental things he needs to work on so for the price they are looking to sell him, that presents a big risk. It's been a very long time since the 'next Maradonna/Messi' coming from Argentina (Thiago Almada, Echeverri, Presstianni) lived up to their expectations past youth level so its fair to be cautious.
Fair enough. As I say, I know very little about the guy, but do like the idea of raiding the best young talent in South America.

I guess it comes down to the structure, £38m seems like a ridiculous sum to blow on a prospect given our current squad and financial position, but if they accept instalments spread over 5 years? it is what £7.6m this summer, for one of the hottest prospects, all of a sudden it becomes a different proposition.

I mean Enzo is the one who is a bit older and has done more. He hasnt lived up to his big price tag and initial potential when he helped Argentina win the world cup but overall with 6 goals and 7 assists in the league, he's been pretty good this season and looks a solid good player and only slightly behind Cole Palmer's 2.6 key passes per 90 mins, with Enzo being 2.5

A player would only need to be half, or a third as good as Messi or Maradonna for it to be worth signing him. And its not as if Rodrygo is Pele or Ronaldinho so its a bit weird to hold Argentine's to such a standard else not be interested.

I'll say a 10% of those two...I'll never get why it's Diego or bust...more when there are plenty of examples of Elite players in recent years and since ever that are and had played in great form without being genius alike fellas.
