The only update from Ornstein is that we're still persisting in the chase. He, however, thinks that the deal will be unlikely, which isn't unreasonable.
Yeah that makes sense. Feel completely out of the loop after two days in the office instead of working from home

We're currently bottom of the PL with 0 points and already off the pace after two games. Ten Hag's preparation and start to the season has been affected by not having the full squad that he badly needs. You honestly believe this player was worth throwing the start of our season for?
You honestly believe any of that is because of Frenkie personally?! It’s all his fault!!!! Grow up.

Went to visit William the Bastard’s resting place in Caen today, maybe they can bury United in a tomb next to him.

they have gotten some nice trips out of this at least. And if things go bad who cares, not like they are at risk of losing their job. Hell they have more chance of losing their jobs if they started doing something right.

because the club insists we are still in the running - and who knows what Barca might suddenly decide to ask for between now and three hours from now...
Not anymore. We seem to be briefing the press that we might not get him. Also if this is to happen then either the club will have to put in an improved bid or barca needs to sort their end of the deal by paying fdj his back wages. So even if we have to put in an improved bid then we need to withdraw the offer. This way at least barca will be forced to act either way.

Can’t think of one worse.
In duration clearly and the fact it derailed the many other things you needed to do to refresh that squad. But it is DeJong and Barcelona so it was always going to be hard.
Getting scuffed at by the likes of Rabiot, Cunha and random 20y old from Austria should hurt more.
