That's a huge signing, was very impressed with her against England. Bags of experience, quality and physicality.
 
As a swede this is really exiting! Two new signings, both with a lot of experience and talent.

Really pleased to see this. If only as a signal that we didn't want to look a gift horse (in this case, Barcelona's cost cutting exercise) in the mouth and were able to react.
 
Rolfö was one of the players I thought about when I thought Sweden would do well in the Euros this summer. And the youngest of them … if she’s top motivated, and has the laws of physicality on her side, she can be a very valuable addition.
 
Just saw this article in which Skinner says that he thinks Frido could be a very effective #9 since she is at her best in the box:

What does everyone think about that? We could start her at the 9 with Malard on the left -- or, I was thinking that it would give defenses nightmares if the two of them were to regularly swap positions during the course of a game.

Doesn't count for much in real life, but I'm playing Football Manager 2026, and Frido has scored 25 goals in all competitions leading my Man Utd team to WSL glory!!

Haha! Where have you been playing her?

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of trying Frido at the 9 when Teri is on the bench. Something that I've been thinking about recently is our need for more height in the box -- not just on free kicks and corners, but during regular play. According to a quick (and thus not necessarily reliable) Google search, Frido is 5'10"; both Terland and Malard are 5'7". (Sorry, but if you prefer metric you'll have to do the arithmetic yourself.) We know that she can score with her head, so maybe we're not taking full advantage of her physical attributes by not getting her in the box more often.

Mostly off the wing to be fair... But I also had her on penalties and refs are more competent in made-up land than reality!!

As for height, you just have to look at a team photo to see that Frido stands head and shoulders above all players bar Phallon. She's already menace in the box, but I guess the question with playing Rolfo at 9 is the hold up play.

You're right, of course. That's a skill set that she wouldn't be able to develop overnight.

However we do it though, we need to get her in the box as much as possible. She needs to be on the receiving end of crosses, not delivering them.

There are official WSL and FIFA rules about maternity leave

I wonder what the protocol is for players to inform the club about it - did the club know before the transfer window shut?

I guess Celine Bizet should be back from maternity soon at least

I assume it's like any job, you have no legal obligation to declare it until about the 25 week mark. That being said, they are doing intense physical activity, so I wouldn't be surpirsed if they would tell them prior to 12 weeks - she even mentioned she was doing less in the gym as a consequence.
 
And there I was thinking about how well she would fit into Olid's system as a wing-back....
