Tonight let's all hope Brentford win.

A win is worth £160 million. No game in world football has bigger financial implications.

I do like Scott Parker but a fresh team in the Prem is always fun.

Want Brentford win as they would be a new team and apparently they play very good football. Though I like Fulham. Will definitely tune in for this one.

We're all rooting for Brentford? I have read they play Barcelona style of football.

another +1 for Brentford. Really enjoy watching Benhrama and Ollie Watkins looks like a star in the making.

Yeah, bored of Fulham, Brentford would be a nice story and from the little I've seen this season they play some nice football. Watkins and especially Benhrama look class.

I’ve always had a soft spot for Fulham for the sole reason that our away fans have always sounded particularly amazing at that stadium.

Don’t really care who wins this though to be honest.

I have a soft spot for Fulham. I grew up associating MOTD with stadiums that were unique and had a vibe that I can relate to. Tough to put into words, but when I see Craven Cottage on MOTD or even live, it just brings home the uniqueness of English football. I have no idea why.

Aside from that I loved watching Dempsey, Saha, Boa Morte etc. So yeah, I'm favouring Fulham.

Brentford winning would be better from a novelty perspective, given that they haven't been in the top flight for 70 odd years, and I would usually always root for the team have been out of the top flight longer to win unless Blackburn or Burnley are involved. I generally find it boring when relegated clubs win instant promotion again, apart from when Blackburn did it between League One and the Championship in 2018 of course.

Since getting promoted to the Championship in 2014, Brentford have been one of the most entertaining footballing teams in the division, have never finished outside the top half, and generally have always been among the highest goal scorers, despite having one of the smallest budgets. Last season they had the 5th lowest wage bill in the division, and the 4 clubs that had lower wage bills than them finished in the bottom 4 league places.

Have always had a soft spot for Fulham, but their last stint in the Prem kind of killed that off.

Would like to see Brentford come up.

feck you all. Fulham all day.

Craven Cottage is like a London based Old Trafford for us. And an excellent away match to go to as a supporter.

Absolutely no pop at those who can't go to games - but I'm sure most match-goers would want Fulham in the Premier League for the away match.

I also like their history.

Was just having a look at the accounts for these two clubs, and its actually kind of mind-blowing what a difference the Premier League money makes to these teams. Fulham's turnover went from £38M in 2018 to £138M in 2019, which is insane. When you consider that Brentford's turnover is about £13M, an extra £100M+ would be a bonkers uplift in cash.

Not sure who to root for. Brentford are the more exciting team, certainly, but I barely watch PL football outside our games, so why should I should care.

Also, Craven Cottage is probably my favorite away stadium.

I guess I'm going for Fulham.

The only reasons I want Fulham up is Craven Cottage and Benrahma being available. Favourite away stadium in the EPL by far. And Benrahma would be a great attacking option that would be a key player for half of the clubs in the EPL.

Don't want Fulham to win, always game raise in the derby! Having just lost Bournemouth, don't want another team that always seems takes points in the league.

Little rivalry with Brentford despite grounds only 5 mile apart. They finished above us and Arsenal in 35/36 but that's about the limit of it

Seen a few of both teams this season and I'd suggest this will be a high quality football match, looking forward to it.

History doesn't favour Brentford and the teams of their ilk, 15 playoffs finals and not one promotion. As they finished higher they had the choice of which kit to wear and they wisely chose their blue away kit :

Fulham I suppose, can't say I really care. Quaint ground, quaint club in the sense that they're completely harmless and it's all somewhat endearing. I enjoyed their run in Europe a few years back and quite like Mitrovic as a player. Not too many old fashioned target men around these days.

Brentford I don't think I've ever seen play a game of football. Don't like the sound of the name and have decided that along with Barnet it's a place in London with an insignificant football team I never want to go to. I know they're into a moneyball or similar approach which is kind of interesting, big on data analysis. Owner owns Midtylland too in Denmark? I don't see them favourably. Spiked ticket prices when United played them in Europe and I believe they're seen as a bit plasticy within Denmark so Brentford become a little bit guilty by association.

That's an interesting point of view. People's hopes for who is promoted seem to fall into two broad camps; those with whom we have a big history (Leeds) and teams new to the top division. I notice no-one is particularly enthused with seeing West Brom back and the same seems to go for Fulham, but if you've got away match experience it's reasonable that that should be a factor in your preference.

For me it's Brentford for the new team factor, but also it's funny how we go from saying how much more interesting it is having new teams in the PL to 'feck off Huddersfield, poxy club who mean nothing to us' a year or two later

I always want new teams up but Huddersfield have blurred that for me. Still hope Brentford can make it

Always had a soft spot for Fulham since they're a West London team but Brentford being local makes this quite the epic fixture. I was disappointed when Brentford lost in the play offs a few years back. Now they've a massive chance to play in the PL in a new stadium.

Fulham is one of those boring teams you never want to come up, along with Birmingham and West Brom.

I wanted Swansea or Cardiff, but I will take Brentford.

It’s a great, yet expensive, away day, lovely little stadium.

The reason I would lean towards Fulham is because whenever any of these new teams who are supposed to be incredibly tiny and haven't featured in PL since 1800s etc. comes up, Manchester United becomes a target fixture for them and their fans (if there are any next season). We've seen that with Burnley (2009), Huddersfield, Brighton and even Bournemouth have got a couple of nice wins against us.
