Beckham wasn’t slow.
Giggs didn’t have a bad right foot.
Paul Scholes could tackle.

Controversial...but ronaldo would sit on the floor and expect a free kick in his later years with us. Ref would play on and he would just sit there instead of getting up and try to win the ball back. Irritated me...but he’s still my fav Utd player (just for the record)

Sterling and finishing. He would be one of the best in the world if he could finish well.

Lennon crossing and finishing.
Nani decision making.
DDG and kicking.
Evra and crossing.
Rafael and rashness.
Henry and heading.

Karius just lacks composure, shot stopping ability, aerial control, reaction speed, and command of his penalty box. Not much in it, really.

De Gea- Penalty saving, distribution (in comparison to these new-age ball playing goalkeepers at least), and having full command of the 6-yard box/coming for crosses etc.

Baggio and world cup final penalties when injured. Literally not one other weakness. Maybe haircuts.

Bergkamp and flying.

Mata and pace would be terrifying.

Always thought Mata + Lingard combined would be the perfect RW.

Laudrup - work ethic. One of the most outrageously gifted players ever, but was only arsed about 20% of the time.

Edgar Davids- Maybe could have scored a few more career goals? Wasn't purely just a DM, great box to box energy.

Carrick in his prime was a sweeper in midfield. Interceptions is his masterclass. To intercept, you need to cover a lot of ground.

Carrick isn't agile as Modric, but he did play out of trouble really really well. Perhaps his weakness is shooting.

On the rare occasion he took a shot they tended to be good, I'd say his problem was that he didn't have a crack more often.

Agreed, sometimes players know they can't consistently hit the ball clean. That's why he always look for the pass with his inside foot. Shooting is another skill set.

Don’t think Carrick lacked mobility as such but sometimes lacked a bit of aggression or character to really dominate, at least until 12-13 season anyway. I’m not saying he had to fly into tackles or charge around like a madman but a bit of an edge (Xabi Alonso/Scholes) would have been good.
