He’s fecking sucked for almost 3 years now and the only ones defending him did so with academy player blinders on and didn’t realize his “production” basically came from unlimited minutes and opportunities at his age, and not any sort of budding top talent.
He just doesn't have the talent.
This is too accurate. Now that he's playing elsewhere and I can view him objectively, I can see that he isn't really anything special. He's actually very ordinary. He won't be essential to Chelsea's plans and will play in Spain or Portugal in a couple of years.

Chelsea fans starting to notice his lack of pace/athleticism. Honestly, that was my biggest reason I was fine selling him, even moreso than the obvious attitude problems. He just doesn't have the pace or physicality to develop into a world class player, and his technical ability isn't good enough to make up for it. He's just an average player.
And we had fans in hysterics saying he's worth 80m
There's difference between being confident and arrogant, and he's walking definition of latter.

I don’t think this will happen but I do expect him to be sold after a couple of seasons.
Estevao is already better than him and Neto's pace makes him a much better option than Garnacho too.
They will need a bench option though. So it will come down to who sucks more, him or Gittens.

In the old Garnacho thread there were pages and pages worth of posts claiming he had world class talent, was one of the best young attacking talents in the world, our best attacking threat etc. So much nonsense spouted about him.
Under Fergie, a player like Garnacho would have got either hair-dried in line or sold at the first available opportunity. 40m for this guy is a great bit of business, not because he lacks talent but the right mentality to succeed at a top 6 club.
For all of INEOS' faults (and there are many), they have been good at getting rid of players who believe in their own hype (Rashford, Sancho, Garnacho et al). And it seems like the new players we are bringing into the club are of the correct attitude, whether they are a success or not ultimately.

Less time getting the tats, the hair styles, the teeth, the eyebrow slits and social media! More time spent improving his game and understand how to play as a team and he might be just as good as Jermaine Pennant.

Disagree with this. For me his poor performances started August/September 2024 when he started to miss so many chances. Was fine in 23/24 I'd say given age.
Back in January I think it was possible for us to get 50m pounds. So not 80m (euros or pounds) but more than we got this summer.
