Dortmund fire Rose, Rose gets the Leipzig job, beats Bayern, gifts Dortmund the title. Real high IQ stuff from the Dortmund bosses there.
Why did they fire rose anyway? I know they had some bad days at home but they didn’t massively underperform in terms of expectation. Something else happen there ?

I need someone to explain to me why Bayern got rid of Nagelsmann when they were perfectly fine in the CL and the League and since then have crashed out of the CL and might actually bottle the league. Absolutely wild decision when you look at it.
They were also still in the cup

Feels like Rose’s biggest problem was the fact that Terzic was still at the club.

The Cult of Tuchel facing some awkward moments.

To be fair, he's come in and basically been fecked from the start. The Nagelsmann firing was just not what the entirety of the squad wanted and the press laid siege on Bayern from that moment on. FC Hollywood back at it again.

Coman holding his face in disbelief because his streak of winning every league season he's ever played across Germany, Italy, and France might be over.

How spoiled are Bayern's fans that are leaving the stadium early. Won the league what, 10 times in a row? First time they might actually not win and parts of the crowd turn their backs.

Dortmund haven't won any of their last 7 away games across competitions. They're definitely bottling it tomorrow, aren't they.

I'd say that is pretty typical of a lot of football fans. Did they agree with the sacking?

Last time Dortmund had a chance to go top they got utterly fevked by the referees in that Bochum game… Let’s hope tomorrow’s game has a more competent referring team…

Bayern seem to have completely lost the plot, don't remember a Bayern team being this weak mentally.

Why did they fire rose anyway? I know they had some bad days at home but they didn’t massively underperform in terms of expectation. Something else happen there ?
Bad cup performances, looked weak in big games, no real plan for improvements from Rose apparently and Terzic lurking in the shadows. Some internal difficulties as well IIRC. So more of a combination of factors. Definitely a controversial decision both at the time and for months after the fact though.

Can Dortmund unbottle the league? Ironic that they might win after so many of their recent big names have gone.

Good send-off for Jude though

The cup competitions were horrendous (losing to St. Pauli in the DFB Pokal, going out to Sporting and Ajax in the CL, losing to Rangers in the EL - and not even in particularly unlucky fashion) and while finishing second place was obviously a good result there were a few unacceptable results in the league as well, such as losing 2:5 / 1:4 against Leverkusen/Leipzig at home and the way the team lost the "small" derby against Bochum at home towards the end of the season.

On the other hand there were plenty of issues with the squad that were the management's responsibility, so you couldn't really call his work great, but you couldn't call it terrible either. I personally firmly expected him to continues past the summer, but then the club had their season review (Watzke, Sammer, Kehl, Zorc and Rose) and over some critical questions they apparently found out that they didn't have a basis to continue their cooperation.

Also, fun fact:

They literally sacked him a year ago to the very day:

I agree with the other poster that they'll probably respect him for it.
Imagine being Brazilian CB Dante after that WC semi final at home in Brazil in 2014 when he had to return to his German club. Don't remember if Luiz Gustavo was also still playing in Germany at that point.

So while the entire Bundesliga hates Leipzig, they may have just freed the Bundesliga from the chokehold it was in. :D

Well first of all Dortmund have to do their homework and even then we can still all hope that Köln get something against Bayern as well now and strike Leipzig from that chapter of history.

Well at least we are the Champions of giving away penalties.

Something is wrong in this team and I dont know what it is.

Oh, wie ist das schön!
Folks now preparing Borsigplatz for the celebrations, going to be a wild couple of days, oh dear!
Now grab that title, Marco Reus!
Never been more deserved.
Oh no!

The past isn't necessarily a good predictor for the future, but there's still some pessimistic stats:

a) Augsburg has always been a difficult opponent for Dortmund in recent years:

b) Dortmund's away form has actually been pretty weak lately.

If you guys again bottle that big chance than Dortmund will be the next Neverkusen.
Bayern handed you the title on a silver plate.

Disastrous second half. Having a corner and then running into a 1 to 4 counter. That's amateur football.

Augsburg - Dortmund 1:0

Köln - Bayern 2:1
Dortmund - Mainz 0:0

Bayern wins the title on goal difference...

If that happens then yeah, might as well shut down the league.

Guys, look at the footy they played this month and then contemplate what you want to say. How can Augsburg or Mainz get a result when they need to score at least as many goals as Donyell, which will be two per game (and that's not accounting for the rest of the crew)? Spoiler, they can't. No amount of jinx is going to change that.

People like to talk about bottling, but would you say that Dortmund are a (European) top team in terms of quality? I think they are making the most out of what they have, but even in doing so there's still quite a bit room for mistakes and dependance on other VARiables.

Even better:
Your ex-coach Rose might've just helped you become champions (if you get those 2 wins out of 2:nervous:) and he might also send your Revierderby rivals into 2. Bundesliga next week on top of that.
