Here’s your season ticket. But in order to show your season ticket to the boopy scanner thingy you’ll need this special film that covers your phone screen so the code scans properly. Only £49.99. It also only works once or twice before it breaks so you should buy a few of them. They’re also not going to be available for the start of the season and should go on sale by about next March. You can show your ticket to a steward but they’re wearing special polarizing glasses so you’ll need another special film on your screen for that so they can see it properly. Why doesn’t the steward not just take off their special glasses? Did you even read our T&Cs?!
At least you could have your season ticket saved on your Apple wallet which would be handy!

It genuinely would be amazing just to see the big announcements.

“Old Trafford. We are proud to introduce our latest innovation to football! Grass!”

Wow, football pitches have never used grass before holy shit.

”And also introducing….. the round football!”

Fecking hell this is intense. A ROUND football?! How do these feckers keep coming up with such amazing ideas?!

I'd buy an iPhone, iMac, iPod, iPad and an extra lightning cable if they bought United.

Yours sincerely,
Android user.

Yes but we'll remove the unnecessary things and everyone will follow suit.

Say goodbye to corner flags

No doubt there would be free subscriptions to MUTV bundled into iCloud subscriptions.

tbf that's why the investors love Apple. They are usually the 3rd or 4th player entering any market -- lower risk than being some 1st mover advantage where you have to educate the general public about the new disruptive product and its functions. But Apple have the brand image, cultivated over decades (or living off the past) that they are the innovators.

Even Siri has to pay google for some critical IP it uses.

Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Ineos and Dubai in a bidding war already is another reflection of just how massive the club really is

Entirely confused at what value Beckham could bring.

Lending good will to buyers? We have been desperate for the club to be purchased for over a decade, the good will is there to lose from day 1.

Why do some people produce saliva at the prospect of a big company like Apple buying us?
Wouldn't they be even more inclined to make it into a business and make profit of us?

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
Will this consortium have enough though because the amount of redevelopment needed on ground and training facility won't be cheap, add to that money to improve both first XI and squad depth as well
I believe there were over 100 consortiums interested in buying Chelsea and from what I saw on SSN, many of them were collectively worth a hell of a lot of money. Between their wealth and club earnings, I would imagine that they could do that sort of stuff with ease.

Literally no credible link to any of them except Ineos (as far as I'm aware - happy to be proven wrong)

Beyond the sale of United, which would the best thing the Glazers do for United, they could regain some favour with fans by purchasing that other Premier League club thats up for sale :wenger:

Colour me skeptical but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that these 'stories' of the likes of Apple, Google, Meta and Amazon being interested are unsubstantiated bollocks and lazy journalism at best, where they're simply linking every multi billion/trillion dollar corporate to us.

In short - its probably bollocks.
It wouldn't shock me if they are true.

For a companies like these we would be a fairly small investment and also one that can wipe our own face after an initial investment and probably provide a significant stock increase.

They will force every apple customer to tune into MUTV as a default setting. You will have to read pages 56 to 73 to find out how to opt-out.

It's 100% unsubstantiated lazy journalism. We've already seen the nonsensical stories linking us to Amazon and Google. Why not throw in another tech giant and then head off to lunch?
Tbf. Its an Exclusive.

And the price quoted (£5.8B) isn't some crazy figure unlike the numbers been thrown around for the Dubai bid.

Should we all be thanking Piers Morgan and Ronaldo for pushing the Glazers over the edge?
No. This hasn’t suddenly happened because of that interview. It’s clearly been something in the background for a number of months.

No doubt Ronaldo will do the Suiii in the coming months claiming he was the saviour.

Please. The cnut just so happened to be there. These strategic decisions would have been made months ago. They would have had to vet the various companies that would be handling the deal on the Glazer's behalf months ago.

No. The Ronaldo interview had nothing to do with it.

I dont get why people think this is because of Ronaldo. It takes weeks / months to hire lawyers, brokers etc..

Ronaldo interview was last week, so its pretty obvious that the Glazers have been planning this for a while.

Richard Arnold in June said we are looking at investors, reports over the summer that Glazers are open to selling.
Liverpool putting out their for sale in public, team viewer looking at their agreement have all bigger impact than Ronaldo.

Here's another:

"*Exclusive: US tech giant IBM plan sensational £6.2billion bid for Manchester United as the club is put up for sale".

*Exclusive source being yours truly being bored at work.

See how easy that is. If it were an actual reputable source I might have humoured but alas it's some tier 4 journo.

Nothing wrong with making a profit out of us. But do it by making the club super-successful on the pitch.

The saliva is because Apple are not as dodgy in terms of human rights as an oil state (but yes sweat shops etc), they are super rich, and they would insist on excellence.

That said, it's a bullshit story.
