Not sure being paid off by a Sponsor for termination then getting another sponsor on top while losing Ronaldo for free is a hardship
No super league and no realistic prospect of their own TV deal is whats going to make them sell up IMO.

There is a thread in the general asking, are there any nice billionaires?

Who came out on top in that thread?

They want coin for the stadium and training facilities. They know they don’t want to fund that.

I'll get excited when we see comfirmation that they're actually selling, depending on who is buying. But broadly a good sign.

Too good to be true, we heard it multiple times before.

If you are wondering who’s going to buy us, the answer is me. I haven’t got any money to put in but I’ll just do what the Glazers did and saddle the club with my debt.

An outside investment would make sense, it was reported in the summer if I recall. They keep control that way too
It doesn’t make any sense, who would want me at money and allow them to run the club given how bad they are at it?. The Glazers would also have to give up a huge percentage for amount of money they need so it would be pointless from their point of view as well.

It’s most likely a negotiating tactic to try and make them seem less desperate and get highest possible price.

you think people putting money into United and leaving the glazers in charge makes sense?

Can someone enlighten me why people believe this all of a sudden? I'm pretty sure we were down this road just a couple of months ago?

That gobshite Ratcliffe will be out in force tomorrow looking for more attention.
Sure INEOS spokesperson recently said they won't be investing any into Premier League. It will another American or oil country for sure.

Funny but I don't know how to feel about this on one hand they aren't the best owners but on the other hand there are Todd bloehlys out there (aka Woodward on steroid) and also I wouldn't want United to become a sport washing soulless project.

It’s the ‘imminent statement from the glazers’ part that got me.

If that doesn’t come then it’s shit.

Didn't Sir Jim make it clear only a few weeks ago that they weren't looking to sell? What's changed? Maybe they are CR7 fanbois and they want shot of this club since he walked out?

That’s the way it’s looking, nothing out there to rival the wealth of the Newcastle owners but here’s hoping some oil tycoon fancies blowing a few 10s of billions on buying the club, sorting out training ground, new stadium, investing in almost an entirely new squad and turning us back into a world class club on and off the field.
Wouldnt need to be as rich as Newcastle. Just someone with their own huge fortune and the willingness to put our own money back into the club. The money this club makes is obscene and could rival anyone just by what we earn.

Ronaldo leaving will have a hit on the shirt sales, TeamViewer looking to pull the plug on the sponsorship deal with us. Basically the money not rolling in as much as they anticipated heading into the new year.

There is no chance they will announce their intentions. These scumbags have operated in the shadows, they're allergic to sunlight.

Hope it's true but hasn't the clubs stance been to sell a minority stake for a long time ? Sounds like they are re-hashing the same message albeit through the mainstream media as opposed to club revolved journalists. Let's see if an official statement is declared.

Am sure there's plenty of super clean owners who have £4billion to hand, who will buy us just to win some trophies with no worries about profit.

Ratcliffe said just a month ago they aren't interested. It's bullshit. Perhaps some way to bury the Ronaldo debacle. Or something.

Thats what he said. Maybe they want to keep up their tradition of fecking the club over and sell us to utter c@unts on purpose

I can't see it being a minority stake. Why in earth would anyone do that? Without the ESL there's nothing in it for the Glazers, so I suspect they'd want out.

We are going into a high interest rate period with a full blown recession that is why they're selling.

I'd love a nice little consortium with Ronaldo participation. It'd certainly piss off a few on this board and make for some great drama. Not going to happen, of course.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.

They were obviously looking to sell 6 months ago. Bloomberg literally wrote the exact same story as this - maybe now they’re going on the record because something has move on since then.
