Welcome to the GOAT Athletes Five Stars Draft. The mission here is to build the greatest team consisting of five great athletes from different sports.​

Rules:
  1. Snake draft
  2. 5 athletes per team
  3. Minimum 2 women and 2 men
  4. Maximum 1 athlete per sport
  5. One poll to determine the GOAT Five Stars Team
  6. Eligible sports are listed here

Team must consist of (all in a GOAT context):
  • A leader. Someone that brings the whole team together and gets the best out of everyone.
  • A winner. Simply obsessed with winning. 2nd place is the end of the world.
  • A superstar. Fan favourite. Brings bums on seats.
  • An innovator. Someone that transformed their sport.
  • A pantomime villain. A showman that overacts and misbehaves. The nastier you are, the more they love you for it.

Obviously lots of athletes will fit several descriptions. But you have to pick one description that fits them the best and have a different athlete per description. You can pick them in any order you like.

I'll have a go if you're willing to accept a draft noob. Is the "pantomime villain" assessed by having the most success while being disliked (eg Schumacher) or just the biggest possible shithouse (eg Pepe)?

This is in a GOAT context. You'll find it a million times easier convincing people that Schumacher is a pantomime villain in a GOAT context than someone like Pepe.

Right guys, we're starting with 7 players. I'll allow an 8th player to join before the first round of picks is complete.

Rules:
  • Snake draft.
  • Maximum 6 hours per pick. After 6 hours the next person will be allowed to pick.
  • 5 rounds of player picks first. Then a 6th round for managers.
  • There are no restrictions on managers (you may choose a football manager even though you've picked a football player).
  • Do post a pic and a short text of your pick if you want to.
  • Tag the next user when you're done.
