Yep, never dawned on me until yesterday & I was in the industry for years.

This will be a great finish tomorrow. Hopefully gets a wee bit tougher this afternoon and keeps it bunched up around 5/6/7 under

Rory needs one more birdie to be within a few shots of the lead. Then anything can happen tomorrow. Lots of people with a chance and will be exciting for sure.

Yup this is going to be really hard now sadly. I think the lead will be around -7 so a bit too much
Dont know if it will get that high. Scoring doesnt seem as easy as early rounds and back 9 is tough.

Yep 100%. Great golf from him, avoiding mistakes here is massive
Yep..bet Rory wishes he had Thursday afternoon back. Just seemed to lose concentration and missed a few putts he shouldn't have

Thought it would be -5 but for rory to be 1 back after Thursday is crazy

I think 1 under is definitely too far back, maybe 2 under too. It's not the number of shots, its the number of players. I reckon one of Rahm, Xander, Rory or Aberg wins. Could be miles off though

If some of the 1 or 2 under hit a 64/65 to get to 7 under they have a great chance. I think the number is 7. Can't see Smalley running away with this but could be wrong

I would also add Reed too. It will be terrible if he wins as I dislike him so much. This course fits his style of play.

If the course is playing easy enough for a 65/64 score, then I would fancy a few of those on 3 or 4 under to get past 7 under, if that makes sense. There's just too many good players on that mark, the leaderboard is too bunched to support a run from deep.

Really enjoying this and completely disagree with the players complaining about setup. It should be difficult to make birdies without making the course tricked-up, I think they have a good balance. And two rounds in, the best player in the world remains favourite. Hard to argue with it.
I think round 3 showed what some players criticized. On average the „very good“ players shot lower scores than the „good“ ones. There was some separation happening which was missing the first two days when birdies were rare and the holes basically played as „bogey max“ nonetheless.

I think like yesterday it could be a low scoring morning and a slog in tbe afternoon when the wind picks up. It was noticeable by rory and xanders last few holes how different it played

Kitayama 4 under through 8. If these conditions shift later in the day there is no reason a 1 or 2 under cant post a score here.

I was thinking that US has 3 majors, uk 1. I can understand the history and why US should have the majority of majors. But isn’t it about time that Europe gets a major too? I know it will mess up history and traditions but is more representative of golf today. Especially the success Europe has had in Ryder cup. Just a thought.
