20/21- 6th
21/22-7th
23/24- 9th (actually thought they'd finisher higher than that but did reach Europa league QFs).
So not quite but they'll be nowhere near top half this season so a bit of a comedown from what their fanbase is recently used to.
I think it's because Moyes is a fairly basic manager but he's very very good at it. Potter appears to be a manager that tries to overcomplicate it too much at times without already having that good base. It works to overcomplicate it if you're elite at doing so but when you're not it just looks....shite.Their recruitment sounds like a mess but frankly they've wound up with a bunch of decent players. If they rehired Moyes they'd be back up to midtable in a few weeks. I think Potter just isn't very good. HIs teams look good but aren't very effective at the best of times and theres enough drama and noise around west ham to make life difficult for anyone.
At Brighton and to a lesser extent Chelsea the problem was creating chances but not being able to score them. At West Ham it feels like they barely create any and the whole team is a mess. And that’s lights out for his prem career.
Every team he has managed has had the same problem. He cannot coach them to score goals.
I don't think there is a right club for him anymore. The Chelsea move was understandable as it was an incredible opportunity but it's broken him.He keeps picking the wrong clubs tbh

He shouldn’t be at any of these clubs to begin with because he’s not good enough. His career highlight is managing to stay 7 years in Sweden. He keeps picking the wrong clubs tbh
I find him very unlikeable.Grim times for Potter. He seems like a nice guy, but he may have to seek refuge in a lower league.
I would be surprised if he got that again. That job was always going to be too big for him, he needs a club similar level to Brighton where theres a good structure
I think that's a problem with him. It worked with Brighton because they were set up as a club to be dynamic but he tries to be too smart and tinkers with things too much which is ironic as West Ham fans wanted a manager that did things differently and was a bit more interesting than Moyes but sometimes the best managers for you and the best managers in the league are the ones that keep it fairly simple.Switched to a back four in the second half tbf.
That was a tongue-in-cheek comment with all the system talk on the forum at the moment. But yeah his teams are shite whatever he does with the backline. Propped up by Brighton’s structure and been properly found out since leaving.I think that's a problem with him. I doubt Nuno will be allowed to take another job this season, if Forest pay him off.Nuno wants the sack and will then probably take the West Ham job. Although he likes to be backed.
I remember when people on here were all for us appointing Potter. Like comes at you fast.
If Nuno gets the sack that would be one of the most diabolical sackings in recent years.Nuno wants the sack and will then probably take the West Ham job. Although he likes to be backed.

That team shouldn't be fighting for relegation. Paqueta, Fülkrug and Souček are all regular internationals for their countries and Bowen is often included in England squads. Wan-Bissaka was a regular starter for Man Utd for years as well. Just two years ago they won a European trophy with a similar squad.Potter’s going to get sacked but when you look at some of the names in that West Ham team you can see why they’re struggling
They have virtually the same win % (Amorim and Potter), would it be any different to what it is now.So this is the guy plenty fans wanted after ETH?

And the league has improved since then. That team shouldn't be fighting for relegation. I doubt he could get a job at Queens Park Rangers right now, I don't see him coaching again if he is fired with West Ham in this state, he has pals at the FA and will probably do some technical advisor type role and enjoy the millions he has made in anonymity.I'm surprised at how bad he's been. For some reason, can see him at Rangers soon
