Graham Potter | Sweden manager

He was ha phenom here in Sweden. Took a club the size of a Sunday league one all the way to Emirates. The media loved him. Since English football is more or less our national sport he was an even more popular figure.

He also pointed out to Swedish media that he more or less has all the money he needs - so a job like the Swedish national team would be a fantastic one. (Cause our nt coach gets about 200k a year).

His house in Sweden. (Which he currently is visiting according to our media). Located far up in the north.

Like you say he did great at Swedish club and now taking over of your NT that is surely desperate to have some kind of success. Hopefully it'll be match made in heaven.

I really hope we could get a spot in the world cup next year, but it sure looks grim.

Did you not have any more ‘inspiring’ choices?

You might have been better getting a man-motivator type proven international coach on a short term contract with a high incentive bonus for reaching the World Cup

This is Sweden. We don’t operate like that. Before Tomasson all other coaches has been Swedish, going through our FA. He was also the first coach to get sacked. World Cup proven coaches cost money. I think our budget is around 300k/year.

A bit similar to Norway then.

Interested to see how he does. He comes in after a disaster from Tomasson, so he has the chance to create an immediate lift in the spirit of the team. However, I also think the team has some obvious weaknesses, and it is not by accident they haven't qualified for the last two major tournaments. When you just list Gyokeres, Isak, Kulusevski, and Elanga you might think the team is high-quality across the pitch, but that's not really the case.

His first presser done. Half of it did in Swedish. Contract over the World Cup if Sweden qualify.
