As the title suggests...
What are your favourite 3 (or can be more, whatever) movies that have something in common (usually an actor, but it can be time of release) but aren't a conventional trilogy in the way that The Godfather or Lord of The Rings are.
I'm going to nominated the obvious one... the Nic Cage 90's Action Trifecta
The Rock
Con Air
Face/Off
3 classic action films (even if Face/Off is complete lunacy) that make for great companion viewing. I'd rank Con Air as the best of the three though I know a lot would lean towards The Rock.
Another one would be Eddie Murphy's first three films - 48 Hrs / Coming to America / Beverley Hills Cop ... which is a pretty impressive three first comedy films.
So yeah, put your trilogy forward (and what makes them a trilogy)
