No team should be harping about one chance being missed. Especially if it wasn't a penalty. What if the pass was made and Haaland missed?

Yeah, Sørloth fecked up in that instance, but it isn't why we lost the game. Players are allowed to make mistakes and have off days, and anyone who follows Norway knows Sørloth isn't driven by ego or personal glory, he's a team player through and through.
You seen Haaland play? He is often like this. But he's also that guy that only needs one chance since he's so clinical. If he received that pass, I would bet good money that he would have scored. At City, they have great players so he obviously gets more opportunities but for Norway, they needed to make the handful of opportunities count, but Sorloth made sure they didn't convert the easiest one they had. In the end, Norway lost because they didn't take their chances, which you absolutely have to when playing a better team.
I think he was also carrying some sort of injury, hence why he was benched for Strand Larsson, which is like subbing Kane off to bring on Troy Deeney. Don't see why they would do that if not because of an injury.

Haaland knows the algorithms. If he had just moved on without any reaction, Sorloth would not have faced the online wrath he faced.

My wife who never watches football or even the world cup knows about how Sorloth fecked up and because of him Norway lost. Haaland's reaction is what has driven this.
It's fine. It was one pass. For the rest of 119 minutes and 55 seconds, Norway didn't do anything much which was the main issue.
Also doubt it was an injury as he was not getting much service and in that situation of trying to stay in a match it is better off bringing a lesser quality player who will at least cover the spaces.

This isn’t good for us. He’s becoming a pretty big star globally particularly amongst younger fans. I used to be dismissive about City and can honestly say I didn’t know any City fans or barely see anyone wearing a City shirt. That has now changed. I see a bunch of kids wearing Haaland shirts and barely see United ones now.
City are not that good anymore, and without Rodri + Silva they really do lack players.

Not that good? Let's be real, a poor season for them was winning a domestic cup double and coming second in the league (and being in the hunt until near the end).
They have signed Anderson and will buy Bouaddi. Semenyo and Cherki are still bedding in.
They have the best keeper in the league, the best out and out striker in world football and with Anderson and Bouaddi, there is the potential to have one of the best midfields in the league.
Agree, they are a step or two off PSG, but even with Pep gone, they will be fine. I think they win the league this season.
Just like 20 years ago, loads of people wore Arsenal or United shirts. The truth is, most fans don't actually love clubs as much as they love the success associated with them. With a few exceptions, people are naturally drawn to winning teams.
Forty years ago it was Liverpool, twenty years ago it was United, then it became City. If Arsenal start winning major trophies and the Champions League, you'll see kids everywhere wearing Arsenal shirts. That's just part of football, and it's always been that way.
As for City under Maresca, I still think they'll keep winning despite everything, but not in the same way they did under Guardiola. That was their Ferguson era, and I don't think we'll see anything like it again.
Even this squad was pushed to its absolute limit by Guardiola. I find it hard to believe they'll get past 80 points under Maresca.

We used to have a name for them... "Gory Punters" or something.
They didn't play well, they came 2nd in a poor Pl season where we came 3rd after being I think around 15th mid season. They were poor, and they were the season before as well, and they have lost their most important player. They have dropped from 3 years ago quite a bit.
My wife is American. Her sister back in South Carolina, who hardly would have known what football was a couple months ago, is suddenly mad about Haaland, sends my wife lots of funny Haaland reels etc, now my wife is on the bandwagon a bit.
My niece and nephew, who are 4 and 6, come over wanting to 'play' fifa on my PlayStation and now just ask if they can be Haaland's team.

If you're a foreign fan who follows the Premier League, what reason is there to support Burnley, Stoke, or similar clubs? Most people are naturally drawn to the best players, the biggest stadiums and the teams competing for trophies.
The same thing happened with Liverpool for years because of their historic success, just like it has in Italy with Milan, Juventus and Inter. In Spain, far more people support Real Madrid or Barcelona than Rayo Vallecano or Osasuna.
That's simply how football has always worked, and I don't see it ever changing.
Maybe I missed it, but I don't believe Rodri has been sold just yet. And even if he is, yes, he is a huge loss, but they are probably selling at the right time due to his age, injury etc. Despite his great WC, maybe they feel he is just past his best so feel its best to cash in now - and they may have no choice given he seems to want to go to Madrid. A little bit like how Madrid offloaded Casemiro at the right time - not a perfect comparison but you get my point.
I agree, they are not at that treble winning peak, but they are still top 5 in Europe and I think they are making some pretty good acquisitions.
It's just assumed that they will dip because Pep has left, but managers and their message sometimes get old. Enzo Maresca could give him them the "pep up" they need!
