Hence I mentioned “law of probabilities” in my first post. No need to call people stupid when engaging with them.
No need for the stupid laughing childish emoji's either I guess. Law of probability doesn't come into it, just talent to make the transition into mens football. Like said, the league has lots of players that were good, just not good enough for us. Sometimes we are proven wrong but that's not very often compared to the hundreds of young players sold or let go.

The emoji wasn’t even aimed at your response, but alas, I guess that equates to the same response as insulting others. Your entire response basically sums up exactly what I meant by “probability of a footballer stepping up from youth to senior football” - ie a very small minority is able to make it, even smaller at a club like United.

Alas, good chat bud.

That doesn't bode well for his chances of making a breakthrough this season!
I think there's been some overdrive in hype for him, due to our need for a LB but I'd say he's just not ready for the PL yet. Despite our position and need, I think he'd benefit more from a loan until the end of the season.

Did the mods really infract him for saying some people are so stupid? Is this due to google ads requirements?
Yeah it's got super strict recently, I got one for calling someone a nimwit. Reckon just a general clamp down.

You silly sausage.

Leicester 0:3 Man Utd New
Good to see him make his debut. Wouldn't mind seeing more of him until the end of the season if we need to rest Dorgu for the EL.

Was quite comfortable, tried to support our attack and attempted a cross. Not bad for a debut cameo, hopefully we will see more of him off the bench this season

Good cameo. Hard to not see a bit of Shaw in the way he plays.
This! Could see the similarities. Has a really nice whip on his cross, mostly played it safe today but didn't expect anything more. Nice birthday debut.

I don’t think he looked out of place last night which is good. A good pre season and I’d love if he can contribute to the squad next season.

Some good and some nervy moments. Thought he could have got his head up once or twice where he got caught on the ball but I don't think he looked like he was struggling.

Got high hopes for him but it will be tough with dorgu looking so good ahead of him. He is still very young though so back up/ squad player is not a bad thing for him.

Great to see this kid coming up. Hopefully he plays more. That cnut Vardy tried his best to injure him, good to see him unfazed.

Delighted for him to make his debut.

He did fine last night, coming on at 2-0 up against a poor Leicester side. Defensively though, he's still very much a work in progress and that weakness might well be exposed more against stronger opposition.

But he's always looked very good on the ball and linking up in attacks, and hopefully he'll be able to continue showing that at senior level. It was nice to see him looking quite comfortable on the ball on his debut.

Got absolutely crunched by Vardy as well, so he learned what it's all about!

He might get chances with the injuries we have at centre back(Licha, Shaw, Evans, Heaven, Maguire and Yoro). I can see Dorgu going back to help out there.

Looks very accomplished technically.

Tough game to make your PL debut in, hope he does well

Big test but it has to be said it's easier to play in a back 5 / on the wings for your debut start. Fergie used to do that all the time. It makes sense as long as tries his heart out any mistakes he will have a teammate nearby to help out. I'm looking forward to seeing him. I like him technically for sure but his size and relative lack of aggression worry me about him long term. Who knows. He could just be one of these guys like shaw who can read the game really well.

Newcastle 4:1 Man Utd New
Nice little technical player but unsurprisingly not ready physically yet.

Weird they chose this game of all to start him in. Very much overawed by this physicality of one of the toughest sides in the league.

I think he showed simultaneously why he's so technically exciting while clearly not physically up to it yet.

We've just got to hope he really develops in that sense while working with the coaches who specialise in this side of the game to build him up.

He looks very promising, but I doubt he's ready next season even.

Thrown into the deep end today vs good Newcastle team. Might do well to go on loan next season for more playing time if we have enough depth.

I liked his performance. First PL start at a side like Newcastle, 18 years old. No complaints.

Give him a season in the Championship next year to toughen him up

Incredibly strange game to throw him into, but you can certainly see the talent and potential is there. Definitely has a bit of the Luke Shaws about him the way he’s built & plays. I think he did well all things considered.

A plucky debut in difficult circumstances.
Only just turned 18 and not physically ready though.
His lack of height is a possible concern.

Did fine all things considered. Highly doubt he will make it here due to his lack of pace and height but hopefully, I’m proven wrong.

He's not small, he's 181 Cms tall, which is taller than Luke Shaw 178 Cms. It's his overall strength, he seems really weak for a lad of his size. Was bullied so easily it surprised me.
