Honestly think he's playing so badly to try to tempt Spurs to sell him in January.

I mean what's the point of Spurs keeping him if they're 12th and 20 + points off the top 4 in that month?

Man. City would probably still take him to see if he gives them extra firepower to win CL for first time.

The worst decision Levy has made was keeping Kane. At his age with his fitness record over the years, turning down that much money for Kane, while Spurs are in need of a rebuild was beyond stupid. Wouldn't mind City getting him. Another player who will just love to drop deep and lacking pace and aging that will lead to a huge drop off when Pep leaves them.

Seemed more about pride. Levy has to maintain his hard bargain persona otherwise it'll be open season on Borussia Tottenham

Levy was absolutely daft not selling him. He should have sold him early on which would have provided a better coach than Nuno with a significant amount of funds to shape his own side.

Gary Neville keeps mentioning his body language but refusing to call him out for downing tools is a joke.

Put his pride ahead of common sense and ended up costing his club. Levy just wasted a big opportunity to get funds for a rebuild and for what? To reinforce his media persona of a tough negotiator!

Bit like Torres's last few months at Liverpool.

If City want him in January and put in a bid then Levy shouldn't think twice about selling. Bad apples and all that.

Levy should’ve sold him to City. City are not direct rivals and were offering ridiculous money for him.

Villa did the right thing and they’re better off for it IMO.

Torres at least tried. Kane is so clearly not putting in a shift that it is almost a joke now.

It's bad for Kane when he's playing so badly in the fixture he's made his own over the years. I don't buy that he's responsible for all the issues that Spurs have though. Nuno was a terrible appointment. The last thing that Spurs's needed after Mourinho was the discount version of him. The players are not buying into his negative style and he's not a top manager anyway.

When Suarez tried to leave Liverpool in 2013 but wasn't allowed to, he put in one of the best seasons a Premier League striker has ever had. If he'd performed the way Kane has been this season, he'd have been crucified.

All the journo's just make excuses for England's golden boy as he 'must be unhappy at having to stay so there performances are understandable.' The bloke signed a huge contract with no release clause, he's only got himself and his agent to blame and he's been an embarrassment to Spurs.

Im desperate for city to come back in for him in January! Keep them completely away from any chance of Haaland.

City aren't returning to him again with such performance. They're not stupid. Both Kane and Spurs are fecked.
Oh, they will come back for sure now. And get him for 100mil max.
What a stupid call by Levy this summer. Transfer magician my ass

He's been awful but it's more like a continuation of the overall play we've seen from since the start of the Euros. I don't see that he's downed tools. He's had some nightmare moments but they have featured him working back for the team. He's never been a forceful captain so nothing new there.

Some of the others are strolling around doing literally nothing which I think speaks to the fact there is a lack of direction now Kane is staying

Harry Kane will only be one year older by the end of this season, but I am confident his market value will plummet by nearly one half - one of those rare instances where Levy got it horribly wrong!

Nonchalantly scoring the winner...
One of his worst ever performances
I mean just look at this shit for the 3rd goal

Levy deserves it.

He let his ego get in the way of what was best for both the club and the individual player.

I feel for Nuno slightly having come straight into such a mess - it’ll probably cost him his job, and Kane will obviously go ASAP for less money than was offered a month ago.

Levy’s had this coming - he’s clearly an egomaniac.

Torres had been suffering with a knee injury for about a year prior to Chelsea buying him for £50m. He wasn't the same player he was between 07-09 but Chelsea thought it was down to unhappiness so stumped up the money for him. Torres always worked hard though, even after he became ineffective at scoring goals

Spurs really should have sold him

There will be a real problem if Harry keeps performing in this fashion as there may be no “takers” for him at the end of the season.

It will be funny if Levy does a U-turn on Harry in the transfer window, desperately trying to sell him, only to embarrass himself further, if no top club comes up with any sizable offer!

His chance of a big move is gone and he knows it

Genuinely think he's been worse than Martial this season and that's saying something

Neville is a tit, his hypocrisy is on show basically every single week. Was going on about how Kane to Utd = PL title. Wonder, what the excuses will be now.

This is revisionism, Liverpool players at the time mentioned, he had stopped working as hard in training. He was always injury prone, that didn't affect his ability to work hard and be decisive.

He has to take his lumps and part of the blame for why they have been so bad since he came back into the team.

His golf course interview, followed by his massive disruption to the team’s preseason. He is the captain and he was trying to abandon ship and play stupid games all summer. Then lying about what he was doing.

He has helped tank Nuno and has let down the rest of his teammates badly. The fact that Neville won’t come out and say it shows why he shouldn’t be commentating on games. He just can’t stop his biases from creeping in at every opportunity.

His form isn't just from feeling down - he is been off form even for England - for a long long time.

Hope City still feel the need for him though.

Lose for lose for everyone concerned in this. Man City have missed out on the striker they wanted. Spurs could use that money to reinforce their team and Kane is sulking

It's safe to say Man City dodged a bullet for not signing an almost 30 year old Kane.

They're now easily the biggest favorites to sign Haaland next year IMHO.

Doesn’t he always start slowly? I feel like for ages he struggled to get a goal in August. I wonder if he’s moved that along to this month after not turning up to preseason.
