Very good and less abuse
This is true. City's style of play suited him more than ours, so he'd have had better performances in general, more trophies and the whole turning him into a meme thing probably wouldn't have happened.

I'm glad he chose us because he's a good player despite what some claim, but if he regretted his choice I wouldn't blame him because the level of abuse he received here was unacceptable.

He was never anywhere near the worst player at the club but twitter memes made many think so.
He was in 21/22. He was truly awful that season, and there's a reason that so many memes were made about him then. He just made so, so, so many stupid mistakes and was constantly putting us under pressure.

22/23 he improved a bit but was still fairly poor, but these last two seasons he's stepped back up and has been good again. Full credit to him for it, as most players probably wouldn't have been able to recover from the public humiliation that he did suffer during his bad period.

Cult hero status cemented if we manage to somehow lift this trophy. He's certainly been a part of the most crucial moments to get us there. Fantastic to see him turn his reputation around, a lot of it was just pure venom.

I wonder how it would have turned out for him had he gone to city.

Would've had won more titles and wont become meme either. John Stones is the inferior CB but often looks great in City's set up.

So happy for him. He's never come across as anything but a great pro, clearly loves the club and the fee was never really much to do with him. He's probably not good enough for us to become a 'good' footballing team because he forces us to be too deep, but he absolutely deserves the credit he's (finally) getting.

He’s had some huge moments in the EL this season. Porto equalizer, Lyon winner, Bilbao wing magic.

If many other footballers had been in his position, they would’ve completely crumbled and vanished from the football scene. The guy’s got serious mentality.

There is a reason why he is classified as a leader, why Ole, Southgate and his peers like him so much, he has the right mentality.

Lads, I know it was all fun and games, but how weird was it watching it live. The two little shimmies and the lovely direct trajectory cross to top it off, I was genuinely in disbelief that it was from Maguire simply because of his size. If Dorgu could cross like that in the positions he finds himself in, we'll be flying haha.

He actually used to dribble out from the back a lot more than he has done during his time here. Especially at Hull.

I remember one game for Hull against us, he was constantly driving the ball forwards, and I don't think I had seen him play before so I was gobsmacked. I couldn't believe Leicester had a free run at him, and I wasn't surprised when Pep wanted him at City.

Am I exaggerating if I suggest that was the best quality cross we have put into the box all season?

going to be a nightmare for our set piece coaches as he’s clearly both the best header and crosser we have.

Harry will tear you apart again !!
He missed the final last time through injury.

Would be good to see him get another chance to play in a European final.

I've given him a lot of verbals over his last few years here, but credit where it is due he has been excellent recently. Key reason why we still are and have a chance of winning the europa.

Leader! Even before the truly bizarre and brilliant wing play that led to our first goal he was our best defender in what was a nervy defence.
Coaching Lindelof through the first phase pf the game as well, whose head was all over the shop

Thought he had killed the play when he turned instead of passing to an open Garnacho, oh how wrong was I. What a brilliant comeback from him, just a few more games Harry, help us win this.

The thing about Harry is yes, he's famous for his flicks and tricks and his mazy dribbles but it's the quality of his final product that makes him a balon d'or contender. That cross was tasty.
