Have we just entered into another bad patch? The roller coaster continues

Just read this quote on Twitter and it perfectly sums up my thoughts on United and Ole at the moment.

“Under Ole we won’t be shit enough for him to get sacked and we won’t win anything. We are stuck”
Yeah that is a pretty fair way of summing up the predicament we are in right now

I’d liken it to Wenger in his last years at Arsenal. Every knew Arsenal’s aspirations were bigger than Top 4 and the odd F.A Cup, but as long as Wenger clawed Arsenal’s way into a top 4 finish after a dip in form mid season, he wouldn’t be sacked.

It’s a cycle that’s never ending unless you nip it in the bud at some point. Solksjaer isn’t a bad manager, he’s just not the coach necessary to bridge the gap between City, Liverpool and beyond them, the Bayern’s, Juventus’ and Madrid’s of European Football.

Almost it’s like we are either having a good run or a poor run in the league since OGS has been here
22/12/18 - 09/03/19 W12 D2 L0
10/03/19 - End of season W2 D2 L5

19/09/19 - 20/10/19 W1 D4 L3
17/02/20 - End of season W9 D4

19/09/20 - 01/11/20 W2 D1 L3
12/11/20 - 16/01/21 W9 D2 L0
17/01/21 - current W2 D4 L1

Has to reach a point where Ed will need to talk to clubs about the availability of their managers. Nagelsmann and Ten Hag would be the two I would be most happy about.

I started this thread on January 30. Since then we've drawn 5 games and won 2, that's 11 points from the last 21. Hate to say it but I could perfectly saw this from a mile, its always the same under Ole. The team still perform in patches, no consistency as soon as our talisman dries up we are toothless.

We do seem to have periodic slumps interspersed with very good runs under Ole. The latest one is more draws than losses but still not great. He’s not the long term answer but he has changed some things. The question is when to stick or twist
