The suspense about which 37 year old bottom half/champo goalkeeper we'll snap up this year is palpable.

Has anything changed in terms of our scouting and the people who negotiate player recruitment? Seems like they've gone on a holiday too, even before starting.

I’d like to see movement soon. If weeks drift by with nothing happening then that’s another season written off. It’s time to be aggressive.

i think a lot may be riding on getting players out to asess where we get the wagebill to unfortunately. And we may also be waiting to swell the coffers a bit by selling Hendo, Martial and AWB etc

Is Ben Foster retiring? Maybe we could convince him to hang around for a season.

Seasons been over for less than 48 hours yet no players have been signed. Unbelievable

I know you're joking.

But every top club either has a signing already, or is set to make one.

Going to need to be fast in this window with no World Cup during the Summer. Unfortunately, United get caught sleeping too often and early signs are showing other clubs are moving quicker than United again.

As far as I can tell, we've only really been linked to Timber in a serious way. Other than losing some of our scouting department I don't think we've changed much though so I fully expect a transfer window where we all get excited about multiple incomings, end up with Timber and adjust our expectations accordingly.

Like who?
Barca Kessie. Juve Pogba. City Haaland. Liverpool Carvalho. Spurs Forster (and Romero). Inter Onana.

Most of these clubs did excellent Business in January too while United sat on their hands.

They’ve known Ten Hag has been coming for months and from the outside looking in, still doesn’t seem any transfer stuff is imminent

I think there are too many outgoings for the club to be slow in the market this year. Arnold will certainly deserve credit if decent deals are over the line within a certain time period. ETH I'm sure was over the line a good while ago you have to assume there's been dialogue about transfers.

We’ll find it difficult this year. Not a very attractive club to come to I’m afraid at this point. Next season will be challenging.

Getting 2013 vibes, new manager, new CEO, De Jong being this years Fabregas, Timber/Antony being this years Baines/Fellaini

We'll end up with Timber on Deadline day for more than he'd of cost earlier in the summer

Not even any concrete links other than Ajax players being mentioned due to Ten Hag and the usual Milinkovic-Savic links, which is a desperate agent. I hope I’m wrong but this has ominous vibes.
