No he did not. He racked up a few assists but he never looked the part.
Nah he had his moments. Mid way through last season he was on fire for us. Never sustained that form but it's obvious why - We never played that sort of style that brings the best out of players like him. It has nothing to do with him not trying or something for us. We've struggled to get the most out of players like him for years while they tend to thrive at teams like Arsenal, Liverpool, Dortmund, etc. Shit happens. Both him and Sanchez are at clubs that suit them more now and will probably be better for it.

He's playing really well in the first half. Good on him, hope he does well for them. He seems like a good lad & his performances in the Europa last season are the main reason we are in the Champions League right now. He may have been inconsistent for us, but he scored in a European final for us, which mean his name is etched in our history.

More specifically, a cohesive attacking system where players are making runs, creating space for each other, and so on.
Agree. Very cohesive attack that is leading them to 6th position at the moment with +5 points away from the 4th spot and lost already 7 games in the league alone, indeed.

Thats what I think of when I see Arsenal fail to outscore their opponents time and time again this year..those glorious runs into space are a joy to watch..

He had his moments, true. And I agree that this trade made sense for all parties.

Mkhitaryan 'performing' because he got an assist...so basically like his whole time at United. Not in the game until he gets a goal or assist to make him a good player on Whoscored.

I wish we had a proper attacking manager like Wenger who has lost his last 2 away games to Swansea and Bournemouth after taking the lead in both.

Yeah, this. Arsenal are not a direct rival. Thus, it'll take a lot more than Mkhi for Arsenal pose a threat.

He's a good player. He was always going to have good games for them.

Mind you, I'm quite ambivalent about it all. When Arsenal are shite, which is common, he'll struggle equally.

demands of a big club? Soon you’ll be swapping Sánchez and Pogba too because of poor results.

Mourinho plays like a small time club manager against any other big clubs, parking the bus against city and the likes.
Calm down, it’s just Everton. A side Jose got the maximum 6 points off this season. FWIW, Mkhi also got 2 assists against them at Old Trafford in a 4-0 rout.

The real test is coming when they face Spurs, City & United....

Are people longing for Wenger now??

There are "MUFC fans" who say that they'd rather we play attacking football and lose, rather than play more balanced and win.
IMO these are not MUFC fans...they are neutrals, just wanting to watch a good game.
They'd be happy if we lose 3-4...at least they saw a good attacking game.

We have one of the best managers in the World. Are in the highest league position we have been in, since SAF left. Still in the CL.

Regarding Miki: he will do well at a club where the expectation is not to win every match or the league. But put him in a big club and he'll crumble. Memphis Depay suffered in the same way.
It takes a special kind of mentality to play at a big club and while a player may have great skill, his mentality may let him down.

Wenger is definitely a better manager for Mkhitaryan than Mourinho. It won't be surprising to see Henrikh play better. At the same time Sanchez is definitely going to play better for United than the awful performances he phoned in for Arsenal this year. Its not about absolute player quality vs. each other. Its about the better fit for the player. Both players are now in better fits.

The first assist was pure luck. Went through three Everton players and should have been cleared. Second was offside.

Look I said it when he was sold. When Arsenal are winning three nil, he will look brilliant. Its when they struggle that he will look poor like he did for us.

 Love how mad Mourinho fanboys get when they think someone is slighting their hero.

No, I'm not longing for Wenger.
To be fair there is enough to criticise Mourinho on without needing to exaggerate 45 minutes of performance. I don’t think Wenger would handle the pressure of being Man United manager that well either.

The concern about Mkhitarayan was always how he would respond when the backs were against the wall rather than when it’s all going well. In fairness to him we have a few players like that who have question marks about them.

Looking forward to him, Ozil and Auba. With Wilshere behind they could give us some lovely football. Won't make up for a poor defence or DM setup though.
First game together (sans Wilshire) and they haven't disappointed. We might all fall in love with Barse-alona again. ;)

Not surprised he is doing well, he plays well when opposition teams give space to him. Perfect game to play for mkhi but things will get tough when teams press him. I am still glad we swapped him and got SANCHEZ

Feck me. The self loathing in this thread. Miserable twats, the lot of you.
Saw that Mkhi had an assist and knew that there’d be this lot on here moaning about how Mkhi is worth 10 of Pogba and how we should swap Jose for Wenger’s poodle and how Sanchez is a pointless buy. Bizarre really. Who’d think we’re 11 points clear of them (after counting this game as a win for them), have scored more, conceded fewer and beaten them at their home too? Oh and that we spanked the Toffees home and away anyway. Shocking really.

He is just another De Bruyne and Mo Salah in Mourinho’s book.

A list of talented player that could not do JM philosophy.

Yes, so bizarre I doubt you could quote 2 posts saying anything remotely like that.

Go on.

Mourinho is a winner unlike Wenger. Arsenal had Sanchez in his best years and still couldn't win the PL. Players do well at Arsenal but they don't have the mental capacity to win things.

All of ours AMs and forwards are better. This is the easiest game for him to play in.

Not sure Mata or Lingard, or even Rashford are better, however I'm happy to have Sanchez over him

He's on 7 PL assists now, same as Ozil. Those first few games this season really helped him out there.
