Did enjoy it but felt like it really lacked depth and quite a lot of the design really killed my immersion.

Just comical using Avada while with Figg etc.
Would of been nice to have quidditch and more 'hogwarts events' type things.

The world is a little bland, full of repetitive side stuff.

Did find the main quest pretty dull, Sebastian questline with more depth added as a main quest would have been better imo.
The lack of consequences is a real negative point. I get that the dev team didn't want to penalise players for using the unforgivables, but it's way too unbelievable the way it is now. It's also funny that the main character kills a tonne of goblins and dark wizards with offensive spells, but Avada is the big bad. That is probably more of an issue with the IP as a whole than the game, though.

The MC has a larger body count than Voldemort!

My character connects with the girl who used to have that big white bird dragon thing you can ride. Forget her name. She’s a hufflepuff

Assuming she’s the same age as my character
It's Poppy. She's in some of your classes, so she must be a fifth year.

I kind of forgot what the main story was about straight after I finished it.
never found out why I could wield ancient magic as well.

Isn't it just one of those things random wizards get? Like how a bunch of Slytherin descendants can speak to snakes

I’m just grinding through odd Bits of this now - I simply cannot locate the last Astronomy Tower or Field page guide located in the highlands - driving me fecking crazy.

Just traded in Crisis Core and picked this up. Managed to get a sealed copy with some codes in it too which is nice.

Pleasantly surprised at how good this is. One annoying thing though…is there no way to favourite what you want the gear to look like? It’s annoying having to go back and change it every time you equip a new item.

What offence/defence stats are people at?

I’m currently level 38 / health 3445 / defence 416 / offence 416. Any idea what max levels are? I’ve added traits and fully upgraded in the room of requirement.

My headwear is only 93 base defence so need to find something above 100 I assume…

Also. Any idea why some gear items have a padlock on them? No idea why I can’t equip certain items given I’m over 50 hours in to the game…

Some gear is level locked, if you look at in your gear slots it should tell you the level requirement

Thanks. I assumed that might be the case. Just surprised to see green/blue gear locked at level 38/39 (think max is 40) given their stats are shite and you’re looking for gold gear anyway.

Can someone help answer me this question please?

I’m stuck on 31/32 side relationship quests and couldn’t find the last one. Reading online I thinks it’s “Minding your own business” in Hogsmeade, which fits given there’s that weird boarded up shop door that glows blue under Revelio, but nothing happens.

Because I’ve completed the main stories etc, have I just missed it so can’t complete it now? Seems utterly ridiculous and massively frustrating not being able to 100% the quests.

The camera is awful when flying.

Overall I’m really enjoying the game but minor issues put a dampener on it at times.

From what I've read there are quite a lot of game breaking bugs that can be fixed by reloads etc. Not sure in this case though sadly. Might have to wait for a patch?

Anyway, I wish they made this an MMO, it could have been incredible.

Guess this is why Quidditch was missing. I really loved the PS2 Quidditch game, is this is a fully fleshed out experience, that's probably better than a hogwarts legacy minigame

Would have worked better as a DLC package in this game.

Depends how detailed they go. If it's just a house cup game then yea totally could have been a DLC, but would be cool if they put together the whole British and Irish league and maybe a world cup mode.

Interesting to see how they get around the seeker issue in a full fledged game. Catching the snitch making all the other positions basically pointless worked well as a book narrative, but its pretty damn unbalanced

Always came across as a huge issue with the game that. Whatever anyone else did seemed to make little difference.

Completed it just now in terms of side and main quests. Still got loads to do collection wise but it’s a bit of a joke how much there is in that regard. Nice that it’s so detailed but it’s far too overwhelming and not really needed because if we are all honest, it’s boring as feck running around to get number 545/603 collections.

I mean, especially the merlin trials. I’ve done around 80 but you’re telling me I have to fly and run around the map trying to find them all? It’s ridiculous.

7/10 game and with a few tweaks/limiting this collection nonsense would be 8/10 at the very least.

You don't give 3 points for a win but add up all the points scored over a season. The team with the most points wins.
Not saying that's how they are planning to do it but it could work If Seekers are balanced over the game. .

A lot of pointless shit in this game that was put in for feck knows reason.

People made simile comments about Ghosts of Tsushima but this game makes Ghosts play like an uncharted game.

Not played for a few months but have decided to pick this up and finish it for no other reason than to uninstall it to clear some space. The flying missions put me off continuing last time.

It’s just gone on sale but I think I’ll keep waiting for it to either be lower or go on Plus.

Finished it yesterday, after a long pause. The story-line and the characters are a bit blend that it made me on and off the game recurrently. The final missions are actually the only ones challenging on the whole game, as your character is too much overpowered IMO.

As I said before, visually the game is stunning and the soundtrack is also fantastic, but the game lacks a lot of things to be considered an excellent game, despite being quite fun to explore Hogwarts Castle and fly around the map. Let's hope this laids the foundations to something better in the future.

Felt like it was a chore completing it. Repetitive and boring towards the end. Started it in February, finished it yesterday. Just didn't keep my interest.

Yes, everything becomes a chore. The Merlin challenges, finding the Deminguises, attending classes, the room of requirements, the dungeons that looked very similar between each others, etc, etc.
Not to mention that the game is completely bloated with items to catch. It would be much better to have few items and having puzzles to solve to get those few good items. But instead, all you need is Revelio and being lucky with what the random algorithm will place in that ark.
The only good thing on being bloated is that you will have a lot of money fast, just by catching coins or selling items in Hogsmeade.

In the end HL falls short: no activities/competitions between houses during the school year, the learning curve is incredibly fast which will make your character overpowered since early stages in the game, the storyline doesn't make you connect with other characters (they are boring most of the time), no Quidditch (this one is unforgiven IMO, although the flight physics are a bit bugged), etc.
And although I actually enjoyed exploring Hogwarts Castle and finding small pieces of "history", that was it really it. There was no "school spirit" whatsoever in this game.

It's a shame really, because visually and in terms of music and sound the game is very well done.
