Love the new Maguire song. Instant Stretford end hero.
Harry Maguire, Harry Maguire, come from Leicester to Manchester, his head's f***ing massive. Stuck on repeat in my head.
Sung a miriad of times. A few Wan Bassaka chants. A Daniel James song. The Ole at the wheel was back with gusto.
But no Pogba song, which perhaps sums up the mood amongst fans and after the game he continued to leave the door open to a departure.
A great morale boosting 4-0 victory with Maguire looking superb.. but Chelsea paid the price for fancying their chances and we picked them off on the counter attack.
A well organised Wolves side may well provide a stiffer challenge and won't be so open. Meaning we may have to rely in a high press and greater creativity through midfield.
Yes the first 25m against a weakened Cbelsea side was rather woeful and was more of what we saw ar the tail end of last season. But the nerves went, the confidence grew and the passing was crisper and sharper once.we went ahead with the penalty.
McTominay, seems to get better and better and some of his distribution from deep along with his tackling was a joy to behold. Matic definitely not missed.
We need to be more than a counter attacking side, but hey that was as thrilling a result as we have had in the past year. Even if Pereira, assist or not, still looks wayward and Shaw now looks like the weakest link in defence.
Promising....and a new fan favourite is born
