How green are Premier League clubs? Tottenham top sustainability table - BBC Sport

What is the sustainability table?
First published in 2019 by BBC Sport and the United Nations-backed Sport Positive Summit, the rankings have been updated along with the criteria and methodology.

Teams have been asked to provide evidence of efforts in eight categories. There are more points available in each category this year and three bonus points, making a total of 21."
Your only one point ahead, we'll catch you easily.

Im actually surprised we’re as high up as joint second. I’d have felt Old Trafford being as ageing as it is would not be very energy efficient. And us just being a massive club.

That scoring mechanism seem quite childish measures for sustainability.

Considering they've just built a new stadium I'd hazard to guess their carbon footprint over the last 10 years would actually put them close to the bottom.

I'm sure in the future that stadium will be far more efficient than ours and put them streets ahead. However, I think plonking a meat free burger on the menu is a weird way to score it.

Some of posters in this thread apparently don't take seriously sustainability/green issues in relation to football clubs - engaging instead with a variety of boringly predictable and "hilarious" deflections.

What a shame.

If you cared that much then you wouldn't fly to India every time Spurs goes through a rough patch.

Not very green anymore. Thev've become red.
Don’t worry Glaston has just planted 35 trees to carbon offset the 2 ton steaming pile of cow shit that materialised at white hart lane tonight.

I didn't believe it when posters said it but after this thread I also think Glaston is just an inside joke but the mods.
