How many goals will McTominay score this season?

Yeah that was it. Not the fact that he's been good in every single big game he's played for us and was among our best performers when everyone else turned to shit or his brilliant attitude. Nah it was the couple body feints vs Barca.

Stop talking rubbish
I did say he has great attitude, but yeah, it was mostly the body feints against Barca, yes.

Well, we can barely get 7-10 goals / assist from our first choice CAM in Lingard so, I don't think we can expect that from a holding mid.

Personally, I think 3 goals will be doable.
So 4-5 goals is quite a big expectation then?

People are overestimating how much he can do here. 6-8 goals?

Carrick only reached 6 in one season with us. And that's playing in a much stronger team than McTominay will.

Zero. Zilch! None! They all look great in preseason same as they did last years preseason. Hes not good enough as are a lot of the present squad. I wont hold My breath while I wait for him to score a goal
Lies. Damn lies. We looked terrible in last year's preseason.

England:
70-80 goals. An ACL tear in January will stop him reaching 100.

Carrick also played in a team where his goals weren't as needed.
Do we need McTominay to score goals for us, on top shielding the back four?

That's a lot of responsibilities for the kid.

With the players we have for midfield, Mctominay looks like the best option to shield the back 4, unfortunately apart from Pogba he also looks like the best option to get a goal. Fred doesn't look the part as he loses the ball to often, matic the same. Not sure what role Periera can play well enough to nail down a place. Worrying signs in midfield if we don't buy anyone before the season startup.
