Tried so hard with his mate Cuntinho, bless 'im.

He'll always be the one who slips. Bottling it after going 2-0 up, flashbacks of Crystanbul.

Glad to see his chant getting a rendition after the game too.

Isn't it really sad that Steven Gerrard, one of the all-time players of the Premier League, has let the title slip for Liverpool from beyond the grave?

He's clearly a very hardworking man who deserves it, would have been nice to have him on the open top bus alongside Klopp.

Alas, not to be.

In an alternative universe, maybe Gerrard wins countless titles for Liverpool, but in this universe it looks like he's utterly cursed in this regard and it's fantastic.

Yes, truly awful. For instance, have you seen this slip that he made when he was going to win the title in 2014? It seems to have gone largely unnoticed by most fans :

Today it was a slightly less literal slip, but still, it must bring back awful memories for Liverpool fans.

Villa got absolutely battered today. City with 71% possession and 24 shots to Villa’s 4. I think he tried to follow Tottenham’s model when they won at City.
