Hugo Ekitike | Chelsea, Liverpool & Arsenal linked | and now United linked

Seems like he fell out with the mods? Without going into it too much, he was complaining about the caf on twitter if you want to look. I don't know what the issue is but I always thought his reviews were really solid.

Interesting. If that is the case, I'll refrain from posting his videos too.

He's not a €100m player but said this ages ago when he was linked with moves, there was zero chance Frankfurt were going to sell him at anywhere near his actual market value after letting Marmoush go in Jan. They're in a good position financially and he's locked down for 4 years, plus they have history of playing hardball on their CF's and getting teams to pay over the odds - see Kolo Muani.

And on top of that they qualified for the CL, which means they have even more money in the bank and can reasonably argue that they can offer playing at the highest level.

Ekitike already failed at PSG once, he might not even be in that big of a hurry to sign for a big club but might be happy going into a CL season and for the first time in his career starting a season as the focal point of his team.

Christ alive what a summer they're having.
They just signed the world class defender Sarr from Strasbourg. You were right, what a summer they're having. Apparently they might even land Gittens next, heard Real offered Vini in a swap deal for him but Chelsea look favourites for his signature.

They definitely didn't.

You'd wonder what Quenda's thinking with Chelsea strongly linked to Gittens. Maybe we can still pick him up at a cut price deal in a few years.

I bet he doesn't really care what players Chelsea are after for the left wing.
Well by all accounts he chose Chelsea because he didn't want to play wing back which he'd have done at United and he plays left wing for Sporting.

On the right. How won't give a feck about who Chelsea are signing (by all accounts) for the left.
When he's played further forward typically it's been at left wing. Amorim shoehorned him into the team as a right wing back because he was so good, but since Pereira came in he was used further forward as a left midfielder / left wing in a 4-4-2 / 4-3-3

Ekitiké seems horribly overpriced at 100m. Krösche has a reputation for driving a hard bargain, though. I can see Ekitiké staying put, actually. Although apparently they have already all but signed his replacement in Burkhardt. Maybe they can play together.

Thank you. Also the competition at right wing would be even worse with Madueke, Estevao, Palmer and even Sterling. You'd have to be raging if you were him.

I'll rather work with Zirkzee if the alternative was Ekitike for 100m, for half the price maybe but even still I'll rather someone like Ramos.

I actually like what I have seen with this guy, he looks like he will breakout to be a star soon but at that fee it’s nonsense.

He is the dream and perfect for us to build for the future. But for 100M I don't think we have the money after Cunha and Mbeumo.

Maybe next year?

I think he was 1st choice for Newcastle before they signed Isak.

United should've gone for him when it didn't work out for him at PSG, don't think there's any chance of signing him now.

are there IOUs in football?

I'd be more comfortable throwing money at players with actual ability/quality on the ball than the other options. Him being younger than the other guys, and a United fan are also bonuses.

Hit them with a loan with obligation to buy for €80m+add ons next season.

We dont need another one for the future. We need proven, now.
I dont think he's more of a gamble than Sesko or Gyokeres. Only Osimhen is really proven in the list of strikers the club is supposedly following. He's been playing in french and german league for 4 seasons. But €100M is clearly a price tag that means they dont want to sell.

With SkySports reporting this it feels like Branthwaite again (with Gyokeres) Sporting either play ball or we move on
