These two generations(1994 to 2006?) are fecking stacked. Some really good PC games in this timeline as well.

For sure, peak gaming time there, felt like the perfect blend of great games and the last times companies cared more about games than monetization.
Deus Ex being left out in itself renders the list unless.

I gotta agree with this GoW is still the best playing, most responsive gameplay of all time. Never before or since have I played at game that controls and feels as well.
I still blame it for me disliking rdr2, playing GoW first made rdr a huge slog because mechanically it felt like complete shit in comparison.
For me it merits being close to no 1, not the most innovative but it's so smooth and responsive easily near the top. If Dark Souls felt as good as it instead of being clunky it wouldn't even be difficult.
The lack of bosses came down to them running out of money, there was an interesting interview with Cody Balrog where he said as much, a couple of bits were cut, but still there's a few nice boss fights in there especially on give me GoW difficulty on Ng+. Sigrun, the Dragon, Baldur 2 and the children of Thor all stand out to me.
Whatever we do - it should be tiers, not ranked by number. I don't think I could bear seeing TLOU so high.
No it did, I liked it a lot, especially the bond between Kratos and his son, but while I enjoyed the gameplay, devil May Cry 5 for instance, is much more enjoyable to me. Even if the story in that is absolute silly nonsense.

Many don't and the ones that do end up on consoles are often far worse versions.
There are just 6 Nintendo games/game series in the top 30, though. That does not sound unreasonable, seeing as Nintendo had very little console competition for almost 10 years(1985 to the end of 1994). They've also dominated the handheld market since the beginning.
And Nintendo games are very good when you are the targetted audience. I haven't played them seriously in years but it's difficult to fault them.
