This was running through my mind as well. They're getting rid of most Guardiola era players en-masse for whatever reason and replacing them in a Chelsea style recruitment drive.

Villa are just as worse, inflating Rogers fee to sell him to Chelsea, to then loan Garnacho with an inflated buy out fee and Nicolas sign Jackson for £65m, another inflated fee.

They have previous with the Maatsen/Kellyman transfers too.

They’ve been doing that for 2.5 years now.

I’m sure Pep going has had a big effect. The draw (unfortunately) is still there, but it’s far far less than it was.

He will be a superb signing for City. A very clever player. I expect him to improve, playing with better players around him.

He'll be a bench player replacing Marmoush, hes not starting over Doku and Semenyo. I still think its strange for City to sign him though as you'd normally want an impact player coming off the bench not someone who scores and assists a drastic amount less than the player he's replacing. Injury cover you have to use what you have so he'll work as a body.
