Ahmad, whose appointment was overseen by United’s performance director Sam Erith, has spent two decades in sports medical roles in football; initially as team doctor for England youth international squads before his appointment in 2008 as club doctor at Millwall, where he spent five years.
He was later team doctor for Tottenham Hotspur’s academy squads before joining Queens Park Rangers, where he spent seven years across as a number of medical roles, including as head of medicine and performance.

Hopefully now the treatment table will be imtiaz it's ever been

Didn't see news of O'Driscoll leaving, but Arsenal had quite a fair share of glass players when he was there, and last 18 months, we had bit of a calamity regarding injuries too.

New guy looks like he comes to work with a hacksaw, so can't imagine anyone will be happy taking sickies.

Hopefully coincides with 100% of the squad developing asthma.

Ismaila Sarr seemed relatively injury free for Palace last season, so perhaps this guy is some kind of miracle worker.

He did a stint at Millwall, that's the medical equivalent of a Vietnam vet in football. Ahmad man or a genius, time will tell.

Imtiaz Ahmed was the Pakistan test wicketkeeper back in the day. Nice to see him resurrecting and reinventing himself.

Private medical services? Another nail in the coffin of the NHS. Another reason to despise the disgusting vultures at ineos.

He looks like he is ready to beat up any injured players.

it is about time the club revamped the medical team. the amount of injuries and loss of playing time was looking too suspect for a long time now

Sounds likes a 19th century vicar from Yorkshire. Maybe he’ll dish out some straight talking… “Listen, lad. You’re paid to graft, not to mope. You don’t get fit sittin’ on your backside. Get your head straight and put a shift in, or you’ll be warming benches till your boots rot.”
