No team in particular.
Switzerland very lucky, Jorginho missing a last minute winner penalty, and Sommer having some massive saves in the previous game against Italy, when they should have lost 3-0 at least.

Italy sure love the drama.

Still Italy should beat Northern Ireland away, the problem is that Switzerland always smashes sides they suppose to beat, can see them scoring at least 3 against this c scuffed version of Bulgaria.

I hope Italy qualifies, wanna see Barella,Zaniolo, and Chiesa at World Cup, Switzerland aren't as good as their results suggest, they have been very lucky lately.

Jorghino missed the winning penalty in the final, and now has twice missed the winning penalty against Switzerland. Surely, someone else should take the next one. He could have saved Italy the drama to potentially miss out on qualifying.
He's singlehandedly given Switzerland 2 points and has taken 4 from Italy. At least the Ballon d'Or shouts and considering him Italy's main man are gonna calm down.

Berardi took it well against Belgium in the Nations League's bronze medal game and does it regularly for Sassuolo but he is not a starter. It would have to be Immobile, got a good record.

Is Goal difference first tie breaker?
It is. It will be tight. Italy have the somewhat stronger opponent and play away, but have the lead. They are creating enough chances, but the finishing has not been there lately.

Absolutely. Immobile was absent, but Berardi was on the pitch, when the penalty was awarded. As you said, he is also a penalty specialist. There was no need for Jorghino to take and miss the third potentially decisive penalty in a row.

Di Maria's been in bloody good form playing for ARG for some time
It's crazy there. No one except BRA and ARG are certain to qualify

Never a penalty, defender barely touched Beradi, it's a dive.

Pressure has got to Jorginho in front of the Rome crowd. Justice was done. Hopefully he'll learn from it.

From the first 15 minutes at least... bit of a role reversal where I watch United with no hope but have some hope with Bosnia these days!
You created nothing at the start either. We deserve the lead. Silly tackle though. But neither of us will qualify anyway.

Eh, had the pjanic chance and prevljak chance which were both good chances, just awful connections with the ball. You guys capitalized on your period of domination though and got the goal, no arguments about the 1-0 so far.

Also seemingly nobody knows how to head the ball... but yeah

Oh look, Bosnia have made 5 subs before the 70 minute mark. United would never

And Bosnia have scored a goal at home! When was the last time United scored at home?!

Also, Finland showing you can take the lead despite only have 30 % possession. Something United couldn't manage against City

Just seen someone smoke in the stands! When was the last time any United fan showed that kind of audacity?

Finland just scored from a set piece, something United haven't done all season

Cracking win for Finland. Potentially making play offs which is pretty good finishing above Ukraine and Bosnia.

Got the feel of Iceland a few years back, well drilled and have goals in them.

Yep. They're really well organized and don't panic and know how to break well. Not sure if they'll be able to finish 2nd though, Bosnia when we have nothing to play for is generally really useless, wouldn't be surprised if Ukraine get a comfortable win.

Wohoo! Now we just need Kazakstan to get a draw from France. And beat France in Helsinki. Already booking my flights!

Shame. We played pretty well throughout the qualifiers, some unfortunate draws but just defended like amateurs today. On to the next qualifiers... where we likely won't have Dzeko anymore. Sigh.

This was really terrible and completely disappointing from us. Finland completely deserved their win.

Good luck! Long way to go though, not sure who goes through if both Finland and Ukraine finish on 12 points.

Yeah. Attacking was fine tbh, no composure in front of goal though and Sanicanin and Civic were pretty comical and that costed us.

Thanks! Most likely Ukraine. But we can beat France at home, especially if they have nothing to play for.

It’s crazy how similar Jorginho’s penalty miss was to Bruno’s against Villa. Changed his usual hop/skip run-up and struck the ball in the exact same way. Was even in the same minute of the game.
Jorginho actually mixes it up more often than you think. I think he's not done the skip more often than he has in recent times.

Ah, do Finns have France last game then?

Antonio came on last night and scored his first goal for us to give us the late lead. But then we decided not to close down a cross into the box or mark their attackers which resulted in an equaliser.

Without at least a point against the US in the upcoming match it'll be tough to qualify.

I didn't really expect top performance from them, but yes they were poor. However, Pjanić has disappointed yet again, just as Krunić. Midfield was generally poor, which I think is Petev's problem, because he started with four midfielders, yet every time we lost the ball, we were all over the place. Terrible positioning in midfield, we've always lacked a player defensively, even when Finland were a man down.

Yeah. If Bosnia actually show up with motivation then I guess they have hope that we draw against Ukraine, but realistically they need a point against France and then it'll come down to either head to head or goal difference, not sure.

Yeah. I hope Petev stays, we've been way better with him and just didn't have luck in our first games of this group. A bit sad that this is likely the end for Dzeko with us too, he'll be 38 by the time Euro 2024 comes around so I wouldn't be surprised if he called it a day for the national team. Possibly Pjanic too, who will be 34 by then... maybe 1 more go for a euros for him, but no chance at a World Cup IMO.

We need a young striker to break through, desperately. Not that we achieved anything but constant playoff losses with our good generation of players this past decade, but i feel like we'll drop a tier to one that never even gets close to qualifying for a bit of time. Some decent young guys like Ahmedhodzic but we've got nothing in attack coming through.
