Nothing on the African qualifiers so far I think...

Mali, Egypt, Senegal and Morocco have qualified for the final playoff stage.

One team out of each of the following pairs will join them:

Algeria/Burkina Faso
Tunisia/Equatorial Guinea
Nigeria/Cape Verde
Cameroon/Ivory Coast
South Africa/Ghana
Benin/DR Congo

Then 10 winners are randomly drawn into 5 ties, home and away. Winner on aggregate (no away goals) proceeds to the WC.

Such a punishing qualifying process, and I'm actually welcoming the 48 team WC for this reason.

Norway - Lativa 0-0

A win by Holland against Montenegro gets them first in the group, unless Norway make up a 15 goal difference in Amsterdam.

No. Netherlands win means 4 points from top and guaranteed first.

No, no, no, Holland would have 22 points with a win tonight and with Norway on 18, it is effectively over for first place tonight.

thanks for the correction. Must have misread the table. dummy me.

Virgil's first world cup at 31. That's bizar.

Finland with that annoying football manager win
Stats really don't tell the whole story about this one, I'm saying it as a Bosnian. They were controlling the game, as strange as it may sound looking at the stats. We were way too open everytime they took the ball, and even with score still at 0:0, we only created two chances from open play, reverting afterwards to mad amounts of aimless crossing which, along with a few set pieces, created only a chance or two. But even with Finland down to ten, it wasn't looking like we could turn the game around at any point.

The Parc des Princes is way better than the Stade de France. It actually feels like a football stadium.

Another world class performance by Mbappe, to add to a list already longer than those of most retired players. I know it’s only Kazakhstan, but the way he blew past the covering defender for his 4th goal when clearly second favourite was ridiculous. Blinding speed.

The only player capable of matching Messi and Ronaldo from this new generation.

This was worse than anything Frank de Boer did honestly. Hilariously bad. Daley Blind should just be send home after taking a shower. Comical defending.
