It's always the go-to if United are struggling but it's not much use if the players aren't good enough. There's an aspect of you don't know unless you give them a chance, but the coaches would have a fair idea who is good enough and who isn't.
Borthwich-Jackson a few years ago was actually good when he played but then spent most of his career in the lower leagues for example, plenty of cases like that. Brandon Williams a free agent now? Was a big push for him not that long ago.
Also Garnacho is 20, Yoro is 18 etc are youth.

We couldn’t look worse than we currently do in giving Amass a game at left wing back and Obi-Martin a game up top seeing as we’re fecking shocking in doing the same thing each week with the same players given games, I wouldn’t be against giving Kukonki and Mantato minutes either as stylistically they’d fit Amorim’s system if nothing else.

Surely Chido, Ibragimov, Lacey or Biancheri can get some mins. I have not been following Kone, last I saw he had some injury.
Ibragimov is class, would love to see him involved at some point this season.
It's not normal to put 16 year olds (Ibragimov) into any PL team. Chido just turned 17 and Lacey's injured.
Lacey's been back about a month or so unless I've missed something. He's not back up to speed though by any means.

Until the senior team gets the act together, we shouldn't be throwing youngsters in.
I've been watching the youth team lineups and I haven't seen him appear on any since October.
He is by far the most likely to make the step up in my opinion. Massive talent, a little small but he's really strong and superb at using his bodyweight to roll players.
The season is a right off lets face it. Be happy with some more youth on the bench getting some game time for 15 minutes towards end of match dependent on score line. Definitely shouldn't be starting unless its a bad team in the Europa league but we still manage to draw a lot of them so not so sure!
How’s Ethan Ennis fairing? I recall him scoring some really good long range efforts when he came, got injured, and was then scoring again. Haven’t seen anything else about him apart from a potential move away a month or two ago
Doesn't seem like Amass will break through right now so I'm hoping to at least see Kukonki at some point considering how few left footers we have and his phyiscal profile.

I mean I didn't say that. I just said he's the best equipped physically to get a run out right now, as well as being a left footed CB. So if anyone would get a debut from the youth teams it would probbaly be him

23s this season yes, but the 18s are dynamite. You clearly don't follow the youth teams to make such a shit statement.
I like that his initial move seems to always be forward. Honestly hadn't heard of him before now. He looks like a solid central mid that could make some noise soon.
He looks decent, but I wouldn't risk throwing him in to a PL game just yet. IMO he needs to bulk up before going toe to toe with peak PL midfielders. We need more steel in the centre, especially if Ugarte isn't available.

I think questions need to be asked about whether Collyer is good enough. He's 21 now, if he can't get ahead of a clearly flagging Eriksen and Casemiro who should never play midfield for us again if we can help it. Then he needs to be let go at this point.
Of course we could look far worse. People vastly underestimate how high the bar is to even be replacement level in most professional sports. A crappy Premier League player is still extremely freaking good if we're comparing across leagues.
Look how easily we rolled Barnsley 7-0. Many of our youth players would be loaned to League One caliber clubs (or even lower). The gap between a struggling, out of position Dalot and Barnsley's LB or an aging Eriksen vs their CM is still enormous.
Amorim could be wrong, but I don't think he'd leave Amass out of the lineup if he thought he was competitive with Dalot/Malacia. Likely he'd at least give him a shot.

I think those questions have already been asked and answered. He’ll be let go when we have better options. Right now our options are threadbare.

For me Thwaites is by far our best talent but he's too young for the pl.
