Controversial opinion maybe, but he can't be far off the top at the age of 23?

Nah, he has a few things to iron out first and get individual records/trophies for that. Let's say that he has all the tools and talent to achieve that but I doubt he will.

Current is always the best ever. First rule of forums.

No; but he can get there. There’s some inconsistencies he needs to work on, such as his decision making. He’s selfish but not in a good way sometimes.

I don’t think a move from PSG is that important either. If he constantly turns up in the UCL knockouts, then it doesn’t matter

Obviously Cantona but he is approaching the number two spot if he carries on the same trajectory.

His trajectory is probably Zidane or Platini level but still a while to go in his career yet, as highly as I rate him.

He’s not better than Benzema yet.
For France he is already much better then Benzema. Benzema did nothing for France. So I don’t know what you are talking about.
Benzema is French but did play very little for France.

can't be that far off for the French national team, having already won a world cup and all
If he wins this World Cup and bangs in a few goals. He’s got to be considered as the best.

The scary thing is he is still young enough to win another one or two World Cups. The French have so many young players, who are playing at the highest level already, to help him achieve this.

If he wins 2 world cups at 23 already, he will be up there with Pelé, let alone Zidane or Platini. But it’s too soon to speak about how great is Mbappé right now.

Not yet.

Still some way to go to match Platini and even Zidane.

He needs to come to the PL and prove his quality against teams like Leicester and Everton before this thread can be made
Yeah, should start in league 2 alongside Pep just to prove how great he is.

Probably not for a French guy. We are not Tottenham, we are loving trophies and this guy was great but didn’t win the World Cup.
Platini is widely considered the best by french guys.

The more interesting question to me is how many world cup goals he’ll end up with. He could easily reach 10 overall goals after this world cup and he’s only 23.
