Is our summer transfer window now in chaos?

As long as you view all the inevitable "United have a massive warchest this summer" stories as being the usual tripe, it's all good.
Yeah have seen so much summer transfer BS in the last 8 years

"Success" for us this summer you feel, will be keeping Pogba, and maybe signing one squad filler.
Will be amazed if we get more than 15m for Lingard, despite him setting the world alight there.
No ESL means Real and Barca can't afford him, it's PSG or us I think. Can't say I hold any hope we can keep him.

Surely Donny is here to replace him.

We are going to finish in the top 4, so the motivation to spend won't really be there (which is lucky, because following the pandemic, we don't really have the means to spend, either).

It will be a quiet summer - one or two incomings. We'll try to sell Pogba of course, but he might end up going on a free next summer, as most of his potential buyers are in the same position as us financially.

Bailly thing is certainly suggesting Utd are going to find the cheap easy way out this summer, however not surprised because it has been the case for many years now and expecting the Glazers to fully punish us for the protest

I wouldn't say chaotic, but we're in a very precarious situation here.
Right now, we most certainly need a CF, a DM and a CB.
Bailly signing a new deal, means there's no CB. Let's be real.
So CF and most especially a DM become crucial to move forward.

However, it's increasingly likely Pogba doesn't sign a new deal. The uncertainty is going to cause an issue with our window.
That makes it necessary for us to sell Pogba during this coming window.

Now, we need a CF, DM and a CM, at least. Sticking with current CMs puts us much further back from where we are.

The fact is we may only get two players. So a CF and a DM. Or possibly even one. We may need to bank on players like Modric to cover positions of need till next season. Ramos perhaps? As long as they aren't mercenaries.

It's always been in this situation. Now with a rookie DOF and a Vice Chairman who is leaving what more does anyone except?

Remember last summer? Pretty the same this summer imo. No one got any money. Basically there would be no business at all.

All we need to do:

Sell Dan James, Lingard, Matic, De Gea, Pereira, Dalot, Chong.

Let Mata and Jones leave for free.

Buy Sancho, Rice, Trippier and a backup GK. Also, bring garner to first team.

Loan Williams, Shoretire, Mejbri, Galbraith, Mengi, Laird.
