Slot did everything he could to give Salah what he wanted even a free pass from defending. If I was Liverpool I'd drop him and all the current players who liked the post from the squad for his send off.

Cutting 15 players from the squad instead of the mediocre manager sounds like a really sensible idea.

If the board have decided to stick with Slot, then Salah should suck it up and move on. He’s behaving as if he’s some major executive in upper management. You’re paid to play well, and unable to do that. It definitely doesn’t help Slot to have this moping finished star who refuses to take any responsibility or be a positive influence
It does help since we need slot sacked urgently and Salah is the one sticking his neck out to say that it needs to happen.

That’s the word i was looking for.
It just feels a tad silly considering how he has performed this season, how other key players have performed. Salah going on about heavy metal football is a tad rich when he praised Slot last season for listening to him about allowing him to preserve his energy for attacking rather than having him defend, his legs aren’t cut out for that type of football any longer.

I’m not sure he’s really sticking his neck out given he’s already leaving the club. That said I do think it highlights that the dressing room is either split on Slot, or pretty much wants him gone.
I can’t see how Slot recovers from this given huge parts of the fanbase and staff seem unhappy with him and it’s now end of year two. It won’t really matter what happens in the window if the culture is sour. Seen it at United a few times and ultimately it seems at the point of no return.
If I was slot, I would get him on the pitch in the 90th minute.
Major executives should not behave like this, if they do the company is in big trouble.

Whilst I don’t agree with how he did it publicly, and especially whilst still at the club but it’s hard not to agree with what he’s said. Liverpool have declined by slowing the peace down and trying to play a more Dutch way (which ETH and DeBoer also failed to do in England)
Or get him ready but change your mind at the last minute and sit him back on the bench. Slot is fecked whatever he does anyway so he's got nothing to lose.

Much like when Ronaldo went after ETH, the catalyst is their inability to accept their fall off, no matter how their fans spin it - notwithstanding the fact ETH and Slot are probably idiots.

I wouldn't go that far. But I think slot needs to stand up for himself or he's as well off quitting on the spot as it looks like you're not gonna sack him.
I try to imagine what happens when you have a player says: ‘Take me off defensive duty, because I’m so much better than the rest, I will make the difference in attack on my own’. And then he stops making a difference, and you tell him he’s going to have to start defending again if he wants to play.
I imagine the result would look abit like this.

If it's a performance vs expectations/past performances list, Salah quite obviously ranks top. Otherwise, he's way down the list of our issues, still contributes more than the rest of our squad in G/A if not overall performances, and our results without him are far worse than they are with him, in all areas.

The whole "Liverpool should play Heavy Metal football (TM) as thats the way I know how to play" is the bit that should be worrying for Liverpool fans. They're clearly on his side now, for obvious reasons, but aligning 'The Liverpool Way' so closely with Klopp and himself is just gonna do no one any favours in the long run. Its already nostalgising a style Klopp didnt really even play much in his last few years. He's making a transition to anything else more difficult really, just cos he's being whistful about his prime. Peak Brexit Britain.
From then players there are maybe 2/3 who can hold their heads up and so they performed, rest have been poor at best and it is not just tactics. Some of them shouldn’t be anywhere near a title challenging squad
That is not what happened. For one reason or another, as from the very start of the season, Salah was utilized in a completely different role than last year, when he thrived. He was shifted out wide right and remained there almost exclusively or for large parts of the games. He didn't do enough with the ball when he had possession or didn't convert all of his chances, so he's partly to blame, but that was never his game anyway. He has had loads of off-games which he still decided with one brilliant move or goal, those just didn't come early in the season - whether that's down to his positional change or to himself is up in the air. For me, the drop off is too big in too short a time to be completely atrributed to the "his legs have gone" argument.
Imo it's much more likely that Slot wanted to install his own attacking philosophy onto the team, while simultaneously integrating Wirtz and Ekitiké, and failed badly.
Bit contradictory to open with that silly line and then cite his G/A ratio. He has barely contributed more than Gakpo anyway, who has been diabolical this season. I honestly can't name a single player with a faster and sharper decline than Salah between last and this season.
Either way, his impact is far larger than his misadventures on the pitch. Gynormous salary aside, a player of that stature actively undermining his coach for most of the season, whilst simultaneously not being a shadow of his former self obviously has a huge impact.
Ofcourse the fact all your signing having been shite and Slot mishandling everything is of great impact too, but to me Salah is definitely up there.

I mean it doesn't quite make sense to say they shouldn't be anywhere near a title winning squad when they literally were a title winning squad 12 months ago.
