Is Salah Finished? | Leaving at the end of the season... so yes.

Struggling a bit with the fact the team is not built around him like it was. Liverpool play a lot more through the left recently and Gakpo in particular. I think its messed with his head/confidence a bit. He's a cog in a machine now instead of being the machine itself. How much of that is Slot, how much is Mo himself and how much is the loss of Trent I have no idea, probably a combination of all 3.

Saw some analysis about this earlier in the season, seems the changes in fullback & midfield are probably part of it, Robertson would look for the long switch of play to his side, Kerkez genetally doesn't, which means he's not getting the ball in as much space as before. Also missing TAA down his side has impacted where he receives the ball. Midfield would immediately look for him as an out ball, now they have Ekitike to play off to feet more centrally & Gakpo down the left.

He's just not their go to anymore and he's struggling to adapt. He will eventually, his timing just seems a little off in most things, I think he'll be ok this season, but they will probably offload in the summer.

We've been burned too many times by this lad to write him off but I sure hope he's dropped a level. I am suspicious that he has the foot off the gas a little with one eye on the AFCON and that we may see him step up a gear during and after that.

He's 34 in June. Not sure why there's any debate that he's starting to slow down, it's only natural regardless of his fitness levels. He's also played a lot of football over the past 8 or so years, rarely rested or injured.

The whole team looks finished. Too many changes too fast it seems.

His biggest contribution this season

The annoying thing is they will probably sell him for a big fee in the summer. If the Saudi's were prepared to offer us £80m for Bruno they will offer a similar amount for Salah.

I mean based on the past 3 seasons (not this one) he'd be worth double the £80m anyway. I just think the whole playing for a contract thing is a real thing in football. God only knows what they offered him a week to stay.

It is nice to see them have to put up with some shithousery though. It's all been too nice and cute in Liverpool. It's time for things to unravel slowly.

They are a precious bunch.

Hope he stinks it up for the rest of the season, that'll learn em.

Reporting said it was 400K per week.

He sees this as a threat and is using his influence to get what he wants.

The only problem is, and I can’t believe he doesn’t realize this, he has been playing terrible and he is 33.

Liverpool will probably feign disappointment, but be inwardly delighted that they can guide him out the door.

As a man once said of Casemiro: "Leave the football before the football leaves you". Let's see if he mentions it again of old Mo. I'd wager not

As far as I could remember last season I thought Salah was awful, maybe had moments of quality or a good game here and there but he would always come up with a goal.

I remember him having an absolutely god awful game against somebody, it was like Liverpool were playing with 10, then the inevitable penalty came, and when he scored he had his chest puffed out and his arms raised like he was a god. I couldn't believe the audacity.

Good to see that he's thrown his toys out the pram, hope he starts to stink up their dressing room, can see Van Dijk being next with the criticism he's starting to get too.

See, this I don't understand one bit. Why slowly? We want an avalanche!

The longer they keep him the better it is for us. He is absolutely done. Put him up against an athletic fullback and he will be pocketed.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they sold him for £100m+ to the Saudi league and come out smelling of roses though.

Would love it if they were stuck with him like we have been with our mistakes

This is the big fear. Some mug punter Saudi team Coutinho-ing things up.

And while they currently look like they've made a mess of the £500m they've spent, those players might come good, and we don't want them getting another £100m freebie to have another go!

Would be funny if he did a Casemiro and just decided he was settled and was going to see out his contract

He's done,I have never seen a great player decline so fast ,he was unplayable just a year ago.

Stick a fork in him, because he’s done. Or at least he’s decline to an alarming degree in a really short space of time.

Even the end of last year the signs were starting to appear but he had great numbers still.

It’s over, time to go to Saudi.

Was always bound to happen with his skillset. Could probably still do a job in Italy or just cut loses and go straight to mls.

He should stop hugging the wing for a start. He's taking up positions Doku and Lamine Yamal would normally take when he hasn't dribbled past a man since 2020. He should watch highlights of Mbeumo.

Should focus on staying centrally, but he can’t, because his brainless manager bought a tonne of expensive new players to overload the centre. Hilarious

Schevchenko, Ronaldinho, Hazard, Fernando Torres etc etc there's loads of examples.

Salah was poor for a spell towards the end of last season, he's just continuing that on, I thought he was pretty crap in quite a few games I watched, but he'd still pop up with a goal or assist.

He looks like those first couple of yards aren't in his legs any more, looks like his timing is off because of it. He probably hasn't adjusted to the losing a bit of pace yet, maybe he never will.

There was a reason the Liverpool board were a bit hesitant about giving him that big deal you'd imagine. With so many cases of players crashing after signing that final big deal, not surprised if he ends up like another one.

Thos are great shouts. At least Schevchenko,Hazard and Torres could say that they changed clubs and didnt fit into their new clubs.

Salah is a painful watch this season.

They'll still sell him for huge money to Saudi club in summer and get their money, won't be stuck with player like we usually do.

Liverpool are doing an amazing job at highlighting his weak areas. Even when he was offside and had a head start he couldn’t keep Rico behind him. Needs to be nurtured a lot more than Liverpool are currently doing.

Yeah they got pelters at the time but this is what can happen. You’d have to think there’s less incentive for Salah too now he’s got that guaranteed pot. Still think he’s destined for Saudi eventually though, having the world’s biggest Muslim football star over there is surely something they’ll want for their league.
