Isn't it time we moved away from 'the United way'?

We don't even embody "the United Way" right now, ffs.

We just see some random quotes about "Sir Alex did this, Sir Alex did that, Sir Alex, history, blah blah", but there's no actual evidence of anything remotely reminiscent of the old Manchester United.

We play dire football. It's an upgrade on Jose, but it's absolutely fecking dire. It is as pragmatic as it gets without being Jose or Simeone level. We don't sign up the best quality in the league anymore, we largely go for good but not the best. Nobody fears us anymore, not even at home, and just about every team believes they can match us and outplay us. Manchester United players used to have a great deal of pride and dare I say, arrogance. Who can you say that about in our current squad? Most of them are tame and never rise to the challenge. United fans constantly living on deluded hope that they will.

Most significantly, we are a club with dwindling ambition that hasn't won anything important in close to 10 years now.

What about us embodies "The United Way"??
It is not an upgrade on Jose. Jose in his first and second seasons won us trophies and got us second. Any other time he would have won the PL. His third was when he decided that he was going to get sacked and get a pay off. His winning the EL was a master class. Ajax never had a chance.

The United Way is basically MUFC fanbase's version of Mes Que Un Club.

It's total horseshit. Wrapped in useless romanticism and trying to elevate ourselves beyond others.

Really if we had a winning team, happy players, had youth in our XI.. that'd be United Way. And you know what, EVERY TEAM IN THE WORLD WANTS THE SAME. When it happens to Barca, they call it Mes Que Un Club. When it happens to Madrid it's classic Madrid.

"The United Way" is the biggest hoax of all time. There is no such thing.
There was the Sir Matt Busby way and the Sir Alex Ferguson way. Two of the greatest managers of all time came to the club and moulded it in their image.
The result was formidable teams who dominated all before them. That wasn't the United way, it was those two greats way.
This is the main problem with United at the minute. We need an absolute world class manager in order to return to the top.
Are City playing the City way. No its Guardiolas way.
Are Liverpool playing the Liverpool way. No it's Klopps way.

We need to wake the feck up. We just passed up on one of the 3 greatest managers on the planet this past week because he doesn't play "The United Way".
Your right, he doesn't as it doesn't exist. He plays the Conte way, a phenomenal tactician and motivator who demands no less than 100% from every player and member of staff at all times.
The result, he wins League titles. Something we haven't done in 8 fecking years and soon to be 9.

So wake the feck up and let's move forward, we are the most delusional club on the planet and an absolute laughing stock currently.

Don't get United way mixed up with Gary Neville way.
GNev way is about giving managers like Moyes 10 years to see if they will become good and to protect mates at all cost.

It's dead.

The pride of all Europe ringing around OT before City's second made me chuckle though. Some of the wording may need to change - "limp dick of North" goes pretty well.
