Israel-Palestine

Fitting surname.

The whole thing is sick, as is the automatic support given to those soldiers by large parts of the population.

I'd just add that the lawyer - who was head of the IDF's legal department - is under investigation and house arrest because she admitted to leaking information from the case and lying to the court about it. While I understand why she did it - to counter claims that the soldiers did nothing - she did break the law.

Yet, he is not allowed to hate his parents killers.

And folks wonder what would propel someone to carry out the events that transpired on October 7th. Hamas will continue to have no shortage of recruits thanks to Israel perpetually terrorising an increasingly precarious and existential Palestinian nation.

It must be frustrating being an israeli government member these days. They keep telling the world what they want and the world refuses to believe them.

More registered voters view Israel negatively than positively in the latest NBC News poll, driven by change among independents and especially Democrats.

Some of the stories and videos I’m seeing of what’s going on in the West Bank is heartbreaking.

Imagine soldiers throwing a flash bang in a wedding just for fun.

It's good to see that the push back against Israel's genocide is still strong (and growing?) despite the continued attempts by Israeli advocacy groups trying to smear people. Hopefully it sustains. The only downside is the rise of Tucker and other white nationalist figures promoting their own causes off the back of the outrage. One to look out for.

Efforts to shut down pro-Palestinian speech face series of setbacks in court

Rulings in cases alleging antisemitism on US campuses say common pro-Palestinian speech is constitutionally protected
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/mar/19/pro-palestinian-speech-antisemitism-lawsuits
Pro-Israel groups have filed hundreds of lawsuits or legal actions in an effort to silence some of this speech, with the vast majority filed since 2023 in response to the protest movement surrounding Israel’s recent war in Gaza. The most important rulings to have come out of these cases, experts say, have found that speech and slogans at the heart of the controversies are protected by the first amendment.
A number of the rulings also state that the speech at issue is not antisemitic and does not violate the civil rights of Jewish students. Together, those decisions are delivering a blow to pro-Israel groups’ legal campaign to shut down protests and criticism of Israel through the courts.
Hopefully this trend continues and the threats and intimidation against the humanisation of Palestinians is shortly a thing of the past.

Fake. And if not fake then these are not Israeli soldiers. And if they are it was an accident and not on purpose. And if it was then "Mujda" attacked them. And if she didn't you are still an antisemite for posting this

Just to highlight what a shit stain on humanity Israel and its occupying force is. Al Aqsa mosque has been closed for the month of Ramadan, the holiest month for Muslims for all congregational prayers. The people have had to pray on the streets leading up to the gates to enter the mosque.

Today, the day of Eid, the most auspicious day of the Islamic calendar, they’ve banned the congregational Eid prayer in the mosque as well.

If the roles had been reversed, the Western world would be up in arms.

Some more info below:

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...ers-in-jerusalem-al-aqsa-mosque-closed-at-eid

In recent months, there has been a sharp increase in arrests of Palestinian worshippers and religious staff in the Old City, alongside repeated incursions into the complex by Israeli settlers. Police have detained individuals inside the mosque precinct, including during prayer times, and restricted access for many Palestinians seeking to enter.

The Old City, usually crowded with Palestinians in the days leading up to Eid, was largely deserted on Friday, with streets left unusually quiet.

Palestinian shopkeepers were barred from opening most businesses, with only pharmacies and essential food shops allowed to operate. Traders said the measures had pushed them into acute economic hardship.

Some tensions escalated at around 6am when Israeli forces blocked worshippers from entering the Old City through Herod’s Gate, deploying what appeared to be stun grenades to disperse the crowd.

Israelis terrorising the native Palestinians on Eid. Scum of the earth behaviour.

Completely reprehensible. The people who used to use the West Bank as a way to performatively wag their finger and appeal to international law have mostly given up the charade. The Labour Friends of Israel bastards and the like.

Some more footage of the terrorists running in. Could well be a scene from midieval times, but here we are.

Are you guys seeing what's happening in the West Bank? How can we let this happen?

Every time you think the Israelis cannot go any lower they manage to do so every time.
I am appalled more countries are not denouncing this awful regime. Well done those that are.

Don't know how it is in other countries but here in Austria there is not a peep about this in the mainstream media. We rather report on a freaking heat wave in the US that nobody gives two shits about. This world really is so fecked up it's beyond believe.

It almost feels if you don't go along with all the miseries happening you go insane because nothing is being done about it.

We are supposed to defend and aid the country that let this happen, time and again, without any repercussions for the people who commit these crimes.

Here’s a street interview with an Israeli woman who considers her viewpoint ‘centrist’. She’s advocating for using an atomic bomb to wipe out the Palestinians.

Israeli minister’s daughter who accused family of sexual abuse found dead

The daughter of Israel's far-right National Missions Minister Orit Strook was found dead in her home in northern Israel, authorities said, as police opened an investigation into the case amid reports that she had recently accused her parents of sexual abuse and said she was receiving threats from them.

Shoshana Strook, 34, the daughter of Strook, was found dead Sunday in her home in northern Israel under circumstances that remain unclear, the Jerusalem Post reported.

Shoshana was 34 years old when she was found dead. Her mother is a government member overseeing the build of illegal settlements.

Before she was found dead she released this video detailing the horrific sexual abuse she received:

In the early days of this thread we had people saying that if gazans hadn't elected hamas, they would have normal lives like palestinians in the west bank.

Why is there no news on Christians facing Israeli "incursions" in the West Bank?

The town of Taybeh, largely Christian apparently .

I suspect those people still think the same, or have moved the goalposts to something else

It's for the Israel Lebanon thread but the US has specifically asked Israel to 'spare' any Christian villages in South Lebanon when attacking, thereby continuing and confirming that the US is an Islamophobic state, and the European bloc should really turn our back on them.

Torturing 18 month old babies in front of their father. I’ve seen the images of the cigarette burns and I won’t share them. Just Israeli things.

Reports from the weekend detail Israel’s detention and torture of a 1-and-a-half-year-old child, Kareem Abu Nassar, during an Israeli operation near Al-Maghazi in central Gaza. According to family accounts shared by local media, Israeli soldiers detained the father, Osama Abu Nassar, separated him from his son, and stripped and interrogated him at a checkpoint. During this time, the child was reportedly tortured in front of his father to coerce a confession—burned with cigarettes and pierced with a metal object—before being released after roughly 10 hours via the Red Cross.
It certainly looks that way from the video. This is some of the most horrifying stuff I've seen throughout the genocide. So disheartening to see humanity be reduced to this.

Oh my god. I don't even know what to say. If the IDF has been reduced to torturing 1.5 year old babies, then basically they are the pure definition of Evil and everyone in the world should oppose them.

I don't think the Drop Site guys would carry this unless they thought this was true. dumbo mentions a video which I am going to avoid very deliberately.

Is any mainstream journalist going to ask the US administration to comment on this ?
