Atalanta's fairy tale seems to be over. Last 5 games they only scored 6 goals.

What the fec with Inter Milan bench today, their bench seem to be more expensive than their starting XI

How in the hell did they get that penalty call? Hakimi was basically offside

Torino showing why they're the most ridicolous Serie A club, living for 2 games a season.

Original Ball wasn't going to him, so offside not an issue.
He came from an offside position to get to the ball. That's auto offside doesn't matter if the ball isn't intended for him. Same thing happened for Inter a few weeks ago when the ball bounced off Eriksen's foot to Lukaku who was in an offside position and it was called offside

Both were right calls. You are referring to the derby game. The reason it was called offside was because the Milan defender (Kjaer) was adjudged to not have control of the ball - he basically put his foot to deflect Eriksen's pass hence he wasn't fully in control of the ball.

Here N'Koulou has full control of the ball and it's in his possession, meaning it's a new passage of play hence the previous "offside" is null. If the ball deflected off the Inter play and N'Koulou and Hakimi jumped together to fight for the ball (arbitrary example) it would.have been inside as N'Koulou would not have been in possession of the ball.

There's less than 3 seconds after Nkoulou gets the deflected ball and accidentally clips Hakimi. The intent from Hakimi to go for the ball after he was offside should be a clear call. A new phase of play should take longer than 3 seconds don't you think?
There's also this incident from 1st half

Inter were really lucky with some of the calls from the ref

Why does a new phase have to be a certain number of seconds? Also what I think doesn't matter - what matters is the rule. Also, how do you decide on how many seconds it should take? If you say 5 seconds, someone will argue why not 6? If you say 10, someone will argue 11 seconds, etc.

Also whether N'Koulou hits him.accidently doesn't matter. Young also clips the Torino player accidentally. You could actually argue Torino one should.mot be a penalty ad the ball is already and the player has no way if getting to it with or without Yoing clipping him.

Agree on the Bastoni challenge.

Because i've seen numerous situations like this one today given as an offside. Even on Inter forum some think they were lucky because it was a clear offside.

I understand what you are saying, but the other poster is correct, the defender had control of the ball, making the first pass null.
Similar to an attacker coming from an offside position to press a defender.

Hakimi runs for the ball before Nkoou even touches it ffs
look at the timestamp at 80:08 he doesn't even get fouled otherwise because he'd be to slow

Doesn't matter. Defender makes a clear play on the ball. That's it

Tough luck for napoli. They were playing good before the second goal and Zlatan should have been sent off.
And as I type this, they score.

Hauge scores the third for Milan in stoppage time on the day his former club wins the Norwegian league.

As someone else has already stated, defender plays the ball, the original offside call is null and void.

He should get a medal for that, having played in the majority of their games. Quite the story, a club like that winning a title.

This young Milan team are exciting. Lead by Ibrahimović. They might finally be on the right path after many years of mediocrity.

Why are Juve purposefully resting Ronaldo against Benevento when they've dropped a bunch of points already this season when he was out? He's not even on the bench and now they're drawing 1-1 at half time and the game's been pretty even :houllier: they're already 4 points behind Milan too

Full deserved goal for Benvento there. Thought one of the players may have been impacting on eyeline but goal given.

Not clicking for Juve again but Ronaldo lying in wait on the bench.....

Edit: Not on their bench, surprised by that.

Maggio on for Benevento (39 in Feb). Loved that Napoli side he was in as bombing forward wingback a decade ago. Cavani, Hamsik and Lavezzi the magic triangle ahead of him.

Benevento cool as feck team, love their kit and some of the players they've got. I think they'll stay up.

It's super risky by Juventus to have Ronaldo rest, they need all the force they have in the league as they have to climb to first, unlike other years, and in the CL they already qualified.

Morata sent off after final whistle.

Italian tv must position mics close to bench as never heard so much shouting and whining in a game before. Juve did have a decent VAR shout when De Ligt got pulled down but didn't seem to be looked at.

They just lack that fear factor without Ronaldo on the pitch that can basically just win them games like this with his presence.
