There is no offside offence if a player receives the ball directly from:
- a goal kick
- a throw-in
- a corner kick
Wasn't surprised to see it disallowed really, it was a bit too sneaky. It was. It was disallowed, but we still scored our first a minute later and won 3-0. 2008/09.
Yes it does but the linesman gave offside not a free kick for leaving field of playIt's because he came from off the pitch, isn't it?
Does that overrule the "no offside from a corner"?
I used to think I had a decent grasp of the laws of the game but not for a while now!
Wasn't it Inter Milan? With Ronaldo scoring from the retaken corner?
But I think you need autorisation to get on the pitch from the referee if you're outside off the pitch on purpose.I genuinely thought it was a 1-2 until the replay. Appalling decision.
If you’re off the pitch, you’re counted as being on the byline.
Nope. Players go off for water or for instructions every other game. But I think you need autorisation to get on the pitch from the referee if you're outside off the pitch on purpose.
It drew another player out of wide to cover him. They were loading players in the box all match so it makes sense if it creates a bit more space.Bad decision, but what was the point of this move? Why not just pass it directly to Jorginho from the corner?
