Jose wanted Perisic last year to play him left wing back because he's one of the most two footed footballers in World football but his left foot is his strongest. Mourinho in 2 years and 118 games has never scored more than 4 goals! He wants to go 3-1-4-2 formation or 3-4-3 and you need wing backs for that. Valencia, Shaw, Blind and Young have combined 5 goals 4 assists this season.
Luke Shaw is still potential no goals and no assists. So if united Fans can not see how Perisic, even at 29 and Alex Sandro or Ghoulam added to Young and Valencia are far better options which would supply 20 plus assists and at least 10 goals then we are in trouble. How many times are drilled crosses, floated crosses from our current selection simply dismal?
We need two attacking wing backs and an Elite level Box to Box midfield player just to get within 10 points of City. Then add a genuine World Class left footed star from the right who can play as a second striker, right wing or right inverted striker to catch the other 10 points.
I for one would welcome Perisic, Ghoulam or Sandro, Sergej Milinokovic Savic and Dybala or a Fekir.
Can't see any of this happening though, we will make one truly elite signing surrounded by European Mercernaries who Jose trusts like Willian!

Goals scored range from 68 to 78, Goals conceded 23 to 29 and points 84 to 95 apart from one at Madrid when he realised that would only be good enough for second so he changed his philosophy and scored 121 goals and 100 points.
This squad needs 5 major upgrades to deliver that type of form through a 38 game season!
