By his own admission he doesn't do transfer gossip very often, I think all of his transfer news is in that Twitter thread. He spoke about Daniel James, Eriksen and Dybala last summer.Who is Daniel Harris is he reliable ?
He’s referring to his previous record of posting transfer tips on Twitter, I think. Above that, he references his post about Daniel James coming to United. I think his point is that he is not a prolific bullshitter and doesn’t post gossip for the sake of itWhy is he quoting himself?

Freelancer, has written in Guardian and also a couple of books about UtdWho is Daniel Harris?
I don't know about top speed but definitely has explosive acceleration. Brilliant dribbler and very creative. Double figures for goals and assists the last 2 seasons.OK gonna show my ignorance here. I've never seen the guy play a whole match, just clips on youtube. Having 2 young kids has meant I've missed many of our matches this season, and seen absolutely no matches of other teams. Purely from youtube, this guy looks like he doesn't have express pace (I'm talking Kanchelskis/ Giggs/ Ronnie levels) and doesn't seem particularly strong, but has some nice dribbling skills and a decent eye for a pass.
Is that an accurate assessment? i.e., physically not top notch but a small skillful player with lots of talent. Am I underestimating him?
Works at the guardian, is a United fan I think, he’s on their podcast from time to time.Who is Daniel Harris?
Yep. He rarely posts transfer related news. He’s referring to his previous record of posting transfer tips on Twitter, I think. Above that, he references his post about Daniel James coming to United. Aye I like it when he is on the podcast.Works at the guardian, is a United fan I think, he’s on their podcast from time to time.
Explosive acceleration (more necessary for wings anyway) but average top speed, brilliant dribbler, excellent reliable technique all around, very good quick interplay, versatile, very good movement, very good passer and brilliant vision, very good decision making in the final 3rd, good finisher, incredibly productive for someone so young and will provide the key pass or finish all the time.OK gonna show my ignorance here. The season ended 3 days ago.Something must be fundamentally wrong within united's transfer system. When other clubs finish their job swiftly we seem to drag our legs to get any transfer done. Not getting bruno in last summer was a major fiasco. Hope they have learnt a valuable lesson.
feck - Sancho, Martial, Rashford and Greenwood are going to seriously be a threat if they all click with him. Be rare to see them all on the pitch at the same time I'm sure but our attack will be potent as hell.Explosive acceleration (more necessary for wings anyway) but average top speed, brilliant dribbler, excellent reliable technique all around, very good quick interplay, versatile, very good movement, very good passer and brilliant vision, very good decision making in the final 3rd, good finisher, incredibly productive for someone so young and will provide the key pass or finish all the time.
He's as clear of a world class prospect as there is right now (and someone who was world class this past season anyway).
Good video showcasing his full ability, and both wings:
Someone wise already stated in the thread that the feeling most of us have about this, might be because we follow only united related story's. So it might feel slow because of that and that you and me only read when its almost done for other clubs. I mean 90% of this thread is preparing bid tweets, nothing substantial as the tweets last 48 hours. This is going alot faster then eds usual work.Something must be fundamentally wrong within united's transfer system. We are slow but you are also emotionally attached to United transfers. For example, If Kai Haverts goes to Chelsea..They have been going at it for a few months too.Something must be fundamentally wrong within united's transfer system. Awful just awful, on the cusp of signing a player for 100 million, sack Ed, sell Ole.Something must be fundamentally wrong within united's transfer system. When you put it like that. Still, I think I’ll probably tug one out when I see Sancho, Martial, Rashford in the starting XI.Even though it’s been obvious for awhile and it doesn’t even feel like a saga to me (because it isn’t one) my muppet juices are still flowing very well, a world class player on his way to fix a problem we’ve had for years.
That it's not as easy as agreeing a fee and wages over a pint and a bag of ready salted crisps at the back table of The Duck's Head is just crazy to me too. Absolutely bonkers. We should have had this deal sorted before the lad was even born.Something must be fundamentally wrong within united's transfer system. Some clubs tap up players when they're teenagers. We are tapping up their parents when they are teenagers. That it's not as easy as agreeing a fee and wages over a pint and a bag of ready salted crisps at the back table of The Duck's Head is just crazy to me too. Dortmund got knocked out by PSGChampions League is in two weeks I think.
It would make sense!i hope there are some covid 19 related clauses in this like..if theres a shut down in the next 18 months you dont get 30 million or something
Yup, his vision, decision making and passing ability is part of what makes him so effective and why combined with his dribbling, I think he's just as safe of a success as they get.feck - Sancho, Martial, Rashford and Greenwood are going to seriously be a threat if they all click with him. Be rare to see them all on the pitch at the same time I'm sure but our attack will be potent as hell.
His vision is very underrated.
What, and have no defensive midfielder?Gonna get a criticism/doubt I have off my chest before I get excited, he doesn’t have the same explosiveness as traore and he seems to slow down a bit with the ball that mightn’t suit our attack, but since he’s still young I’m sure ole will encourage him to keep it moving as quick as possible.
We technically could go 442 with pogba and Fernandes in the middle
