I do genuinely think we’ll sign him for good. He’s just useful to have in the squad even if he’s rarely amazing. Keeps the ball well in tight spaces, is a good outlet when teams press us, and pops up with the occasional important goal.

Not bad for a squad player.

:( He's a cup hero for youse now - a legend who brought home the mighty Conference Cup!

You can't be moving him on now.

 I have nothing against the guy. He's been a perfectly pleasant loan player for us. I'm happy for him that he scored in the final. I wish him well in his future endeavours.

No worry. He will be available for loan until his contract expires.

I do wonder whether Amorim would want to give him a try if Chelsea don't sign him. Sancho hasnt been at the club since he came in as manager. I don't recall him saying anything regarding him in that time either

If Chelsea decides not to sign him, Amorim may attempt to integrate him back into this team. I think he has the ability to play no.10 role, the only thing is if he wants to be here and he is ready to do the hard work. I would involved him in preseason and see how it goes, if he plays well then may he has a spot (heavily rotated) or he has done well to attract an offer. First and foremost, Amorim needs to do what is best for him and United.

At it stands we are going to have Cunha, Mount, Amad, Bruno(?) and Zirkzee in the 10 positions. Garnacho if he doesn't get sold. And no Europe. There's just no point. Let alone the disrespect he's shown the club etc.

I think United fans are more forgiving then Jesus was

How has played for Chelsea mate ?? Cant say I have followed him too much since he went on loan. When I look he always seems to be playing but the view seems to be he has not been very good ?

He should never play for this club again.

Yea crazy. Or have the memory of a goldfish

it speaks volumes of why we're in this situation. Top clubs have supporters who expects high standards. We're all about making excuses as of why players are not performing

Hope the win and goal means Chelsea trigger the clause. He's not going to want to come back here, especially since Rashford is out the door too.

Mad how much a moment can change everyone's mind. He was being kept out of the Chelsea team by Madueke and Neto, which is why Chelsea don't want him. He needs to go back abroad.

Shouldn't be let anywhere near the place.

A scorer of goal in sort of european final, what are you waiting for Chelsea? Sign him up!

If Amorim can't get on with Rashford or Garnacho there's no way Sancho is surviving more than 5 minutes I'm afraid.

Can't see Chelsea signing him either as he's just not worth them paying a fee for in the world of ffp. Even if they already agreed to, sort of, except not. They've still got to find someone who'll pay money to let Raheem Sterling sit about yet

Not a chance IMO; plus, his contract runs out next summer, so what would be the point.

I wonder if he does come back whether a team in Spain might come in for him off the back of Antony’s success.

I’m expecting they’ll pay the £5m and send him back.

If they don’t it wouldn’t surprise me if they try and negotiate a smaller fee with us and try and get him for £15-20m.

No, no and no. In that order.

Wumming?

You're correct... however he will be on silly money which makes it a bad deal. There is a reason he is so cheap and a large part of that is his salary demands.

His contract expires next summer and we obviously won't trigger the additional year extension. Sancho's bargaining power is limited, with one year left on reduced wages due to no European football. I think it would be a risk on his part to either stay at United and not play or go out on another loan earning £200k per week for a year before being available on a free. He may well have options but we've seen players struggle to get clubs or be priced out of moves even when available for free. Surely the more sensible move is to sign a circa £150k a week contract with Chelsea for 5 years than have a slightly wage for one year and more uncertainty.

Surely his bargaining power is more limited now than it is in 12 months time?

Assuming his wages are reduced from the reported £350k to £300k due to no CL, he will earn £15.6m in his final season at United. That’s a giant chunk of the hypothetical £39m he’d earn on £150k for 5 years (40% to be exact).

And then he’d be available without a fee. In financial terms, it’s a no-brainer to sit out your contract in his position.
