Jadon Sancho | Official: Loaned to Villa

Rarely hear of people play hardball with the parole board.

Interesting what we do... he will clearly not leave on permanent because no one will give him 200+ salary.

So if we loan him and pay half his salary, he gets to play football.

Why dont we just keep him with training and be strict and never play him, train on his own.
Because then you would have to pay his full wages.

Why would anyone do business with Chelsea again after this.

Sancho is an absolute embarrassment, take whatever we can get for him.
Why not? Chelsea isn't breaching the contract.

I'm willing to bet he'll see out his contract, even if he's stuck in the training ground with the U21s. The fact that he's ruining his career doesn't seem to bother him.

Going against the wind here but I feel he'll be like a new signing. He seems to have all the attributes for the LAM role.

That’s what I’d do at this stage. Good luck Jadon getting a fat signing on bonus and a big wage after your last three seasons followed by a year in the wilderness. Feck this guy.

Its quite funny.. if Sancho has a good season for a mid table club and clubs were after him... the headline would be, Sancho wants a CL club.

A CL club is offering him chance to get away from prison and 15th but doesn't want it because they are offering less money.

So whenever I hear players saying they signing because of UCL... its complete shit.

Its the same with Delap too, UCL is not the make or break factor.

I'm not sure I can think of a player with less professional pride.

He simply doesn't care.

so he wants freedom and the big money? Woodward has blood on his hands…still. It’s 2025 ffs.

This formation is ideal for him. Pity he’s a very average footballer and greedy on top of it

Yea personally I'd have no issue with leaving him rot in the U21s but purely due to his huge salary and personality we will be looking to move him out of the club by any means necessary.

Ideally a Saudi team come in for him with a decent fee and big wages to tempt him. If not I think we will look at a loan with a small fee and us covering part of his wages unfortunately.

Maybe he fancies another crack here now that Ten Haag is gone?

CL is never the make or break factor. It's a nice add-on but money is always the talker.

If CL was the actual key issue, clubs like Celtic would have no issue signing a better level of player.

Attitude is everything in anything you do, Sancho for whatever reason seems content with wasting any opportunities that come his way because he doesn't want to apply himself properly.

When he's older he'll look back with huge regret, then again he probably wont, what an absolute waste of a career.

Chelsea must have really valued him low considering they could have used the £5million towards his wages. I don't blame them one bit, he is nothing but a squad option.

They have a salary structure which they bent a little to sign him on loan, but we made up the difference.

He's seemingly refused to take a salary cut to fit their structure so here we are.

Playing Devils advocate here, but if you can somehow get him to commit to the footballing project at UTD, he can be a very useful option in that left sided 10 position.
Given how Amorim has handled Rashford and Garnacho, he has no hope in hell of making it here.

No.

Why even suggest this?

Did you see him at Chelsea and at united?
I’m saying it from his perspective, not mine. I doubt he’s the type that looks in the mirror and reflects that he’s a lazy shite on a great contract. It’s far more likely he thinks he can sweep back into United under a new manager and be a star

How is he greedy?
I imagine he means because instead of staying at Chelsea where he was 'happy', on a lower wage, he opted to come back to the toxic environment of United, as he clearly prioritised his salary over his career & happiness.

Basically, he'd rather rot on the bench for £250k a week than challenge in a team where he was happy for less money.

Dortmund again with half his wages covered by United. That’s the natural order of things.

At least Chelsea fans can console themselves with missing out on this worldie with the fact that Sterling is coming back.

They didn't want him after his last loan spell. Why would they want him to do not very much again?

Send him to Saudi even for £20M. He’ll get the wages he wants and we get the £25M we were expecting.

Saudi won't want him. They want players that have at least a little bit of professional pride, even if they're all ultimately over there for the money.

Let’s hope someone takes a chance on him this summer. Chelsea clearly offered him a very low contract (and that’s their prerogative, and fair play to them, this has been a brilliant deal for them).

Would make it very clear to Sancho that he stays at United and is expected to be a squad player next season, unless sold. No loans.

I just cant see who will buy him without a significant salary reduction, which he wont take.
I suspect he will see out the last year of his contract on loan with Utd picking up a part of his wages & head into free agency. I'm sure there will be more than a few European teams prepared to give him a signing bonus & decent wages.

I wouldn’t have thought him and Rashford would risk playing hardball during a World Cup year as I suspect they have aspirations of getting in that squad. But even with expectations on the floor they still manage to surprise you.

We should not be loaning either out again this year. If players know if they hold tight and we will blink first and basically give them what they want ( low ball moves or continuing to subsidies their wages while they get to play for someone else) then we will continue to be taken advantage of.

Taking the hit on paying the wages to quell this culture of player power will prove more valuable overall.

His remaining book value is ~£15m, surely someone will take a punt for that? His salary in his last year will be reduced by 25% too since we’re not in CL.

Try to sell him to Saudi, which he’d probably not agree to or another loan is most likely outcome.

He doesn’t want to come back, didn’t want to stay at Chelsea, Chelsea didn’t want him and neither do Utd.

I’m guessing he will be content to just drift for another year and then end up back at Dortmund again once his contract is up.

Are there even any details regarding the Chelsea offer? For all we know they offered him minimum wage and a Greggs “rollfix” subscription for sausage rolls.

How is it reasonable to call the guy “greedy” because he didn’t want to take less - especially when we don’t know how much less - than his contractual pay? I imagine Sancho, like most working people, has responsibilities.

I think the World Cup could be a carrot to get Rashford to feck off. Sancho has zero professional pride and doesn't give a single shit about the club that actually pays him to play football. He's not going to give a toss about playing for England (he's already missed two consecutive international tournaments).
