But wasnt the expection Chelsea takes him and pays a 25 million transfer fee? Maybe they would take him on a free.
The biggest problem with something like that I see is that he will not sign a 1 year deal, he will want a 2 year or 3 year deal and no pay cuts, at minimum in the first year, since he has guarantted wages from United.
My point is, a transfer fee is completely unrealistic. So shouldn´t United immediatly start looking for anyone taking him at all.

I agree we need to take whatever we can get it is just clear that there are not many clubs with any real interest in him and he is not prepared to leave a single penny on the table to facilitate a move. It is just going to be a loan move with the other club paying a percentage of his wages which is better than us being on the hook for the whole lot if you want to look for a silver lining.

Eh ?

We'd stil have to pay him his final years wages anyway. I'm all in favour of just cutting our losses and paying him off at this stage. We have pay him anyway. At least this way he'll no longer be our problem
Might be a FFP issue I think? At least on our books he has some worth as an asset? But I am not at all knowledgeable about this.

He can just bank the 350k a week, then go for free next year and collect a signing bonus somewhere on top. You'll probably loan him to a La Liga or Bundesliga club, just a question of what % of wages being paid.

I read through nearly all pages here and for me its strange that there are still expectations.
Facts 90% of users here agree:
1. He will not play for United again.
2. He wont take any pay cuts
3. No club who can pay his wages, is interested enough to pay transfer fees.

Isn´t there only 1 option?
Let him go on a free and be happy to save his wages.
How can you ever make +ev in this last year?
That's only if he agrees.

We aren’t in CL so he’s on reduced wages. I read its down to £280k.

Has anyone indicated Saudis even want him? We can’t just shift him there, there needs to be someone willing to acquire on the other end.

Hopefully everyone involved with this transfer is shot of the club. What a farce, going to have to pay this lads wages to play somewhere else.

If we’re lumped with him, Jim should reinstate wfh for him alone. Get him on zoom doing burpees in his back garden 9-5.
Nah he just be gaming at home then. Make his ass come in to train with kids and just hope he starts skipping so can fine his ass

This guy is the biggest rat in our club. I usually dont condone abuse of players but I hope this guy gets shit everytime he steps a foot outside his house till he fecks off. Horrible human and probably the worst attitude of any pro footballer out there.
Hope the club dont bend over for him nad lets him rot in the stands. Him and Rasmus are the worst transfers in history but at least Rasmus is a solid lad and tries his best.

I feel like Chelsea didn't want him at all, but tried to see if they can get him for 25m transfer fee but on a very reduced wages, like 80k, which obviously Sancho rejected, so they are like whatever go back and here's 5m for United.

I think he'll be loaned again then released next summer, no one will pay him even 30% of what United pays him now, so he'll not accept in transfer that does not get him at least 200k weekly.

Right... we moved on 12 players not 30... so where did that number of 30 come from?

We made 5m... so we need to find a buyer for 15m. You never know who can turn up in a transfer window.

Its easy to say we should have done xyz 24 months back, there was no offer for him 24 months back.

19 permanent ,released and retirement
8 loans. 27 moved on last summer.
Loaned 3 first team squad players in January too. Ill name them cause you'll probably ask where am I get 3 from. Rashers Antony and tyrell.

Where you getting 12 from?

This useless sack of shit is an absolute stain on the club. Can’t wait for his contract to expire, cause that’s the only way we’re getting shot of him.

Steadily following the career path of the model professional Jesse Lingard(J-Lingz)

Can see Rashford(Beanz?) eventually joining them in the Korean league or some similar obscure league.

I don't think there is a lack of self awareness at all. Lets say hes on £300k/week at United and Chelsea were going to pay him £150k/week. He could just sit at United for a year and get 2 years of what would have been his Chelsea salary. He could sit at United for a year and leave on a free transfer and then any club who wants him doesn't have to pay a transfer fee so the wages they give him could be far higher.

As an example, if Chelsea were offering him £150k/week and paid £25m for him on a 5 year contract, they could spend the same and pay him basically £250k/week over those same 5 years if there was no transfer fee.

All Sancho would have to do to make it worth his while to stay at United for the year and then sign as a free agent is get someone to pay him ~£150k/week which wouldn't be remotely hard for him.

Because he will still get his high wage from United and then another one based on being a free agent. Thats why he thinks he deserves it. Same reason Rashford won't move unless the right salary is offered somewhere else or United compensate him. This is why you don't give players insane base salaries. This is a large part of why we have struggled so much over the past 10-15 years. You can't expect to do well when you are constantly stuck with players on massive salaries who aren't worth half their paycheque.
He was on 250k with UCL bonus but around 190k now without UCL so 190k versus 150k is not that much if you only have 1 year left on contract. Guess he isnt as huge "Chelsea fan" after all if that is the case.

Probably fair to say he is a huge "Sancho fan" and that is all there is too it. His entire career has been full of red flags and he will undoubtedly end up retired before he turns 30 as there are not going to be any clubs left willing to pay him what he wants or give him a long term contract. I don't see him being motivated to play for a lower salary.

I don’t see why they wouldn’t. They could pay such a small transfer fee and he definitely would help a lot of the teams there.

So Chelsea just wanted to throw away five million? Why would they do that?

Seems most likely he will be loaned and released. He is still a reasonable winger for a low tier club.

My prediction - he stays at United and is useful for us in some way for the year then we release him

The shitty old recruitment team really fecked up giving this guy that contract without doing their due dilligence.

I really hooe we are done with with this guy and Rashford this month. Cant stand the thought of them anywhere near the club another season.

Agree with what a lot of people have said, expecting now a loan to the end of his contract then release him next summer.

I think we're past pretending he's got a place here just to retain some value. I honestly think the club would take 5-10m, they just want rid.

Nah he just be gaming at home then. Make his ass come in to train with kids and just hope he starts skipping so can fine his ass
Shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the youth either with his attitude. Just drop him from everything for reasons he’s not good enough and just leave him sit at home if no one wants to loan him. I can’t see any benefit he brings to the club at all.

Our attack will look good with all these players coming back. CF Rashford AM Sancho AM Anthony. That’s challenging for premier league quality.

On a serious note would Arsenal take him for a year along with Rashford.

I understand its all about the money, but as a human who dedicate his life to be good at something (soccer), seeing how no club wants him and they would literally pay 5M to get rid of him it has to trigger something. No way you can be that numb.

If you are going to slag off the team who owns you, then make sure you make yourself indispensible to the prospective purchaser.

Romano's got to make a living somehow. He pretends he is in the know but just rides on the coat-tails of others.

To be fair to him, he always quotes his sources when reporting stuff that someone else has broken and he does get a lot of exclusive stuff just because he is willing to be a mouthpiece for agents. I can't find the energy to be mad at him just because he was smart enough to figure out how to make his hobby into a career by using social media. There was room for 1 Fabrizio in the world and he got the winning ticket, I find him useful because it saves having to follow hundreds of accounts when I know anything verified will be in his feed within minutes of it happening.

Yeah that is fair and I also don't dislike him, on the contrary, I like him and kind of love the hype of his 'HERE WE GO' slogan.

It should have just been a 5 million loan fee and 20 million potential transfer fee. I’m sure they’ve got some dodgy reason for dressing it up this way but it’s backfired as Sancho now looks like even more of a reject after a fairly good loan spell.

I beg your pardon?

Sad, Chelsea and Sancho seemed a marriage made in heaven, they're both about as shameless and worthy of their riches as each other

Can't see who takes him now.
