I simply don’t believe juve are willing to pay 25million euros for a player that his club want him out and haven’t allowed him back to train with the squad when they can get for free in 11 months time .

With the money involved in football now, a player that can win you competitions or allow you to go deeper in the CL etc is worth a lot of money even for a single season. See how much RM paid for TAA for literally a month just so he could play in the CWC.

They also wouldn't be getting him for free next summer. He would want a signing on fee and likely a larger wage as a free agent. There would potentially be more clubs in for him as well.

Can see some sort of swap deal that will happen between Sancho and Vlahović as it seems they are desperate to get rid of him. Not that I rate Vlahović, but as one of those mutual FFP/PSR beneficial deals that kicks the can down the road and helps you out short term. Then you just hope the player works out better with you
I think we're fine on PSR and FFP isn't a consideration with no Europe. I don't think something like that would help us out at all.

Getting Sancho's wages off the books and getting whatever kind of a fee we possibly can is the aim of the game. Taking on another albatross contract while getting rid of Sancho's does nothing for us.

Reports saying that our valuation of Sancho is £ 25 million.

Considering we got £ 5 million from Chelsea for waiving the option to sign him can we not just reduce our valuation by that £ 5 million just to get rid of him?

It sounds like the deal may be close, so probably no need to concede £5m just now. I’m sure we would do it if we believe it was necessary, but Sancho seems to have had a bit of interest already at that price.

While this is true, and Vlahovic would be overpriced and not the sort of signing we should be making, I'd like to see Douglas Luiz included in a deal somehow, he'd be more beneficial

Our valuation is not an issue. Its Sancho agreeing on a salary that will enable him to keep playing Call of Duty

Let's get this one over with, even if it means coughing up another 5m on the valuation. The squad is in training now and we need to get this one done to get Mbeumo over the line ASAP so that he can join the squad in America and, hopefully, be prepared for the opening fixture against Arsenal. A bad performance against Arsenal -- not a defeat, but a bad performance -- will put Amorim under immediate pressure and we just can't go through that.

Getting Sancho off from our payroll is a win and any penny we received will be a bonus. Just get this done, please.

Maybe some creative accounting. We maintain his book value at £ 25 million but contribute £ 5 million of his wages?

Edit: I've just run those numbers through a calculator and realised that Sancho is purported (I rarely use that work-I'm quite happy with myself) to be earning £ 300,000 a week so that £ 5million would not last very long!

Yeah I think it's just salary now that is the hang-up. I think Juventus is gonna try to see if someone else they're interested can be had for cheaper but I think by end of July, Sancho will be gone.

He is no worse than the shit they’ve been buying…

They spent €200M last season. He is better than most of these players.

Does Renato Veiga know his dad is Carlos Valderama?

Hes not earning 300k, thats media codswallop. With the CL deduction its closer to 200k.

No chance, the salary vlahovic is on, we cant even come close.

I think Juve are quite smart. Lots of loans to test players out, Thuram for 20 million euros is nothing. Douglas Luiz hasn’t worked out but, other than that, it is a very low risk window.

They know Sancho is worth more than 25 million Euros, but they also know that they won’t be at the front of the queue if he is on a free transfer.

This is a way to guarantee they get a player in, who could well turn out to be a quality signing in Serie A, and it doesn’t matter how it goes, some English team will pay at least that to take him back if it all goes wrong.

I think it’s a smart piece of business by them, it secures the signing, and it’s an easy gamble at that price.

Know it's the wrong thread, but this makes their player hoarding approach even stranger. I just don't understand the project they're selling so successfully to prospective players - or maybe they know how to pitch it to agents better? So strange.
I suspect they’ll have certain clauses promising certain number of minutes or they’ll be allowed to leave for a reasonable price or a mandatory salary increment when they hit milestones or performance criteria.

Seems likely bollocks? Why would they have got this far before deciding whether they actually want the player.

If only there was some indication of his attitude that was available in the public domain.

Have they been living under a rock at Juve for the last 4 years?

It’s just a made up tweet for clicks that they know united fans will click on.

If there was any sort of character reference done, it would be done long before they bid and agreed terms with the player. Just complete invention.

They probably started checking out Redcafe Sancho thread in recent days

This. You don't speak to the club, then find out if you want to sign him or not. This is just engagement farming.

Would be insane if Juve paid £ 25 million, or even £20 million for Sancho given he is on a free next summer.

Only United do that, like when we paid £60 million for Mount with a year left on his contract.

Well, as crazy as it sounds, they think he can help them. They didn't win anything last season and Igor Tudor is probably on thin ice. Couple bad losses and he's out the door.

This has to be the most elaborate catfish I've ever seen

Only saving grace is it’s a World Cup year and he must surely want to be part of the England squad. That’s not going to happen by staying here. Similar story for Rashford, Antony and Garnacho, which puts some pressure on them to leave.
Doubt he makes the England WC squad from anywhere.

Someone turn the internet off quick, so they can't Google his name.

Which is all good. And quite honestly, he hasn't been a "bad" player.
Underwhelming and not worth his high United wages, yes. But decent for Chelsea and Dortmund.

I think United would take far less in terms of a transfer fee just to get him off the books asap.
